Landlord Insurance - EBB or Terri Sheer?

Just curious on peoples comparison. My quote for Terri Sheer is $458 with $500 excess vs EBB was $363 for roughly $400 excess.

Now, good thing i liked about EBB that it was simple. Not many choices. Basically, their standard product.

Terri Sheer had bit more questions.

When i did Allianz, they ask more questions and signifcantly more cheaper. However, that one seemed like a risk where when you need to claim, you find it is not covered. So, you just paying for junk policy which is only good if you never make any claim.

What is people experience between the two? Anyone done detailed comparison in pds?

  • Terri sheer seems a bit high than usual. Are these policies for self managed property?

    • Yes. It is self managed. Would it make that much difference?

Also would it be correct to say that you insure if you think tenant is going to do more damage that the 4 week's bond?

I guess things like fire, etc are covered with building insurance anyways.

  • i have multiple investment properties and i use Terri Sheer,
Their claims process is painless and quick!

    • Just curious on What sort of claims did you have to make which are not covered by the bond?
Also, do you know if EBB and Terri Sheer are equivalent in terms of what they cover?
