    Got my Mi A1 last week. It's a solid performer. Great value for money. I won't be buying name brand Android anymore - this is as good.

    It's very similar to the iPhone 6S in terms of size and features and performance. No surprises so far - it's a stock Google Android experience.

    The body is slick as grease - already dropped it once - so get a case or tape it up.

    Rooted using TWRP 3.1.1-1 (boot only, don't flash) and Magisk 14.4-20171103-073038. Standard procedure for A/B dual-slot Android.

    I paid $280. No regrets because it's a total bargain. Best value-for-money phone I've ever bought.

        Root app called AirAudio. Streams any apps audio to Airplay, DLNA, Sonos, etc.

        That’s the only thing I need root for. If it was baked into Android wouldn’t have bothered with root.

        About 20cm onto my laptop case. Scratched some of the black paint off the corner. Laptop seemed unaffected.
