Xiro Xplorer Drone Smart Flight Battery $24 with Free Delivery - Harvey Norman

60

Clearance at Harvey Norman on the Xiro Xplorer Drone Smart Flight Battery. Free shipping was included in my location, but YMMV. There were quite a few locations listed as 'in stock'. They've previously been listed as low as $44 but recently were at the original RRP of $217.

This previous deal was quite popular so seems like a good time to pick up a spare battery (or two).

More info:

Not bad for those of us who bought these during the JB HiFi clearance sale a few months ago. My battery came in with a $219 price tag on it and made me laugh. But $24 for a genuine spare is pretty good.

    • Yeah, pretty much posting just for us. I figure they're unlikely to continue making spares once they bring out the next model, so a couple batteries will go a long way to extend the lifespan of the drone.

I already have 2 spares that I got in the JB deal - I guess I'll get 2 more now and fill up the carry case slots haha.

I'm quite interested to know everyone's experience with this drone so far?

I really like how easy it is to self repair and modify but parts aren't the cheapest. the I recently crashed mine and snapped the gimbal in. Was able to self swap the cable, swing atm and while I was at it the fisheye camera to a flat lense for only $70! lots of parts can be found on aliexpress.

Next up probably get a range extender going..

      Gimbal repair sounds impressive.
I still really like the Xiro. It's certainly not rock steady or compact like the Mavic (that thing is amazing) but for what we paid I think it does a great job.
I've also had some signal dropouts leading me to believe a range extender might be a good idea. I'm not the greatest fan of the fisheye, though it does have its uses. Which youtube video/website tutorial did you use to modify the lens? Do you have a link to the lens you bought?
