Just got the 8928OB, also cheapest price in 9 years. Was about to post it up as well but you beat me to it.

  • Are Invicta watches any good? Amazon always seem to have specials on these things…..$10,000 reduced to $29.95.

The Pro Diver Automatics are great value watches. Don't pay attention to the RRP, just check the Camel links to see the average price.

For under $100.00 you are basically getting a 200m Seiko watch with an above entry level auto movement.
My Seiko SKX007 doesn't even have hacking or hand winding.

The modding thread on Watchuseek is a great resource for learning how to remove the logos. There are also some videos on youtube.
The fact that people who know more about watches than I ever will are willing to spend many hours pulling these apart & modifying them tells me that they are a solid watch.

See this old deal post for reviews.

Look, if you ask a watch snob, they're an embarrassment. Modders love them for customising as a base watch. Why? They are cheap, with decent specs and a supply of modding parts. There are many guides on Youtube and other sources to remove the hideous branding on the case - if that bothers you. Obviously, the RRP pricing is ridiculous. But, for a watch with these specs with a proven Seiko auto movement, there's not much out there with the same value. These days most owners are complimentary considering what you get for $100. IMO they're very good for the money.

        Do they overclock them???

        • +2

          Reported for bad Dad joke.

          shitty joke

Did it put a smile on your faeces?

        • @jv: is he Mr Hanky?

        • Do they overclock them???

          stop winding people up

          @THE FLUFFY ONE:

          stop winding people up

          did you get ticked off?

        • @jv: I am not coming back for seconds

        • @THE FLUFFY ONE: in a New York minute, everything can change

  • Strange that the Invicta 8926OB Pro Diver doesn't ship here at the moment, as it's a great price - US$55.29
Might be worth keeping an eye on, as it may change.

    • Maybe a Black Friday special like last year.

  • Excellent prices.

the 0420 seems very cheap for a titanium watch, grabbed one, although a bit big, the weight of titanium should make it wearable.

Glad you took advantage of the deal.

  • Haven't looked at Invicta for years as they have always been a bit hit or miss quality but that was in the days of dodgy seagull movements.
@WatchNerd but with a Seiko auto i might have to have another look.
My daily is a Orange monster …love it bulletproof and reasonably accurate not as good as the Oris but Im scared of scratching that …lol.
Now if only Invicta cloned a cheap Monster with hacking ….sigh wishful thinking.

  • I recently bought the 23678 and am really happy. Great watches for under $100.

  • I want a titanium, preferably with sapphire, and 40 mm case, preferably with date and day. Any good suggestion?
0420 you mention looks good, but have a 45mm case.

    Many Thanks.

  • +1

hmm trying to decide between the 0420 and the 8928OB … is the 45mm wearable or is the general consensus that its a bit large? Im also wondering if the gold on the 8928OB looks a gimickie?

    Thanks for your thoughts.

PS. thanks for the great posts.

    • +2

It depends on your preferences, but 45mm is right at the large end and would generally be for very big wrists only, even taking account of the current day enthusiasm for huge dials. See:

I think most of these look pretty silly, but many people like a huge watch.

    • +2

The 8928OB still looks masculine and expensive because they didn't overdo the gold. 40mm is still a good size even if your wrists are massive.

      • +1

Thanks guys. decided to go with the 17039 in the end.

        • +3

          Good move.

  • the stainless on these could be better polished though. they're quite rough

    • That's a trade off in any watch at this price and below unfortunately.

  • +2

Ordered a 9223, damn cheap price….I'm skeptical that I can get a watch that doesn't look cheap at this price but the reviews seem very promising.

    • +1

      It looks impressive.

        Thanks OP!

I brought the 9094OB from a previous deal…very impressed…so after much consideration I ordered the 10712 Speedway. Didn't have a watch with a leather band…now I do! Thanks for posting OP!

    • +1

That 10712 looks intriguing and substantial. I like the brown dial.

Thankyou from saving me from buying a silly fitness watch. I probably should have bought one of the pro divers but choose the speedway 23121. With a bit of luck it might auction for 17.8m in a few years time. Cheer Op.

I know if I buy a decent auto watch, I can wear it for decades if I maintain it. Like most digital tech though, eventually devices will longer be compatible and developers will no longer maintain software. Also, poor to no resell on fitness/smart watches.

I hope you enjoy the watch.

    • +2

It's already worth 24,735.86ZWD. Nice watch though.
