  • I hate this new generation of 'safe' 'downlights.' They diffuse light instead of sending a narrow beam down. You may as well use a old fashioned hanging light fitting.

    Grrrr.

We think you were referring to "Spotlight" with a narrow beam angle and no diffuser.

However you want to describe them, the downlights that everyone has been using in Australia for decades have been replaced by these totally different products that take us back to the pre-downlight era.

        Progress. LOL.

Most people don't want narrow beam down lights. If that's what you want then you can get them. Here is an example that has 60, 40 and 25 degree beams.

Personally I want to be able to light up the area and not have my floor look like a twister board game.

        • @masuta:

All down lights were narrow beams. How narrow depended on the model, but none were defused. That was the old fashioned, pre-down light era.

Attractive offer but I found out that this one was nearly half of the price ($6.50):

    Epistar Brand as well.

    • Crazy cheap. Postage would nearly be the whole of that price.

    • Couldn't find any 3 Color temperature changeable version from your eBay store.
Please give us the link to the product you are referring to.

    • Dude, not sure which product you are referring to, please give us the link to the product that has 3 color temperature switching feature.

Second thing, couldn't find an ABN from their eBay store, the only way of contact is by eBay message, how can you be sure that they will reply your eBay message after 2 years when you start to have problems with these cheap downlights.

      • Thanks for the reply. I now understand that there is 3 colour temperature light. But why do you need the 3 colours? Can you change the colour whenever you like? For example, I switch-on the Cool white colour in the morning and then I can change to warm white or other colour (maybe red, orange….) in the evening? I am building a new home and now looking at the lights. Seems LED is very complicated to me and prices/specs are very confusing.
