Mens Leather Boots: Smart Casual

Hi all,

I am looking for opinions/suggestions for smart casual mens leather boots.

The biggest issue I have with boots is the heals wear out quickly; I tend to walk on the outside of my feet which doesn't help.

Must haves:
Long lasting
Comfortable

Style:
Chukka/Desert
Chelsey
May consider others.

Budget: ≤$200

Thanks.

    RM Williams.

Just do it. It will last 20+ years if you resole it every few years.

    • which RM williams boots can you get for less than $200?

      • none. Just pay the premium. Better price per wear

I would say RM Williams if they hadn't sold off the company to China

yeah, rossi are good. if you are in adelaide go in and have a look if they have any seconds in the size/style, got some for ~~70 and as far as i could tell the fault was a small scuff that doesn't make a difference to me.

Ive got RMs, but once my general RM Mon-Fri office boots wear out, I will try these:

The Mongrel safety boots ive had previously are the most comfortable safety boots ive ever used, so hope these keep it up. They are made in Australia like the RMs but the main difference I can see is they arent welted from one piece of leather like the RMs. At less than half the price I am willing to try it out.

  • I have owned a lot of Aquila over the years and they are alright, but need a change.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

These guys only sell quality shoes and have styles under $200
Don’t buy Asian made shoes from Australian retail shops, they are glued together and have massive mark up.
