Got on board with others on that IPhone 8 deal with HN ~ Optus.

Looking fot recommendations for case and screen protector now.

+1 for Spigen. This is coming from someone who worked for years in telco. I’ve been using the tough armour on my last few phones iPhone 6 Plus and 7 plus and just bought one for my iPhone X. My partner uses the slim armour and loves it. Just eBay iPhone 8 spigen case. Watch out for fakes though I know the pro gadgets ebay store sells genuine cases. As for a screen protector I usually just search for a tempered glass one that has a few thousand purchases. Usually ~6 shipped.

  Do the slim fit ones do an ok job protecting drops etc? Or just protect from scratches. The tough armour ones look pretty bulky…

    Yeah they do a great job. Still have the lip around the screen so protects for drops.
    
    The tough armour is pretty bulky and does feel quite rigid in the hand.
