ING Margin on Currency for Foreign ATM Withdrawals

Hi, I am interested in finding out the exact difference between the official currency rate and the visa card rate when I withdraw from an overseas ATM. I am currently in the Philippines and enjoying the rebates on ATM withdrawals and purchases.

  • It says:

    Currencies fluctuate every day. The rate shown is effective for transactions submitted to Visa on December 14, 2017, with a bank foreign transaction fee of 0.0%.
    1 Philippine Peso = 0.026329 Australian Dollar
    The "currency calculator" below gives you an indication of the cost of purchases you make when traveling internationally.
    Philippine Peso to Australian Dollar
    December 14, 2017
    1 PHP = 0.026329 AUD

    1 = 0.026329 50 = 1.316450
    5 = 0.131645 75 = 1.974675
    10 = 0.263290 100 = 2.632900
    20 = 0.526580 150 = 3.949350
    25 = 0.658225 200 = 5.265800
    30 = 0.789870 250 = 6.582250
    40 = 1.053160 300 = 7.898700

  • I'm unsure of the date and time the transaction is processed by the bank so it would impossible for me to know.

    • The date of withdrawal should be the date the rate is applied. The rate is set by visa daily.

  • Last I checked ING had $2.50 aud international atm withdrawal fee.

    • Not any more.
      If you deposit 1k a month u get free overseas withdrawals and transactions (along with Aussie ones)
