Wow awesome, good find! Would be awesome for people who stockpiled on JB gift cards to price match.

    • JB has now updated their price to $1888 to match Good Guys and Harveys

  • Beautiful TV

Is there major differences between this and the C7

    • +3

C7 has Dolby Atmos support with its built in speakers and black bezels.

B7 only does Dolby Atmos through external reciever and has silver bezels.

      • I probly never intend to use atmos so thats not a big problem for me. But are silver bezels distracting compared to black ones?

        • +2

The bezels are tiny, can't imagine they'd be distracting.

        • +1

Not at all, i just got the b7, especially if you gave a white wall behind it, you would never notice

      • What kind of external receiver needed for B7? The LG website does not mention this.

  • I just paid $1999 today at JB, hopefully they'll refund the difference!

    • +1

They will only refund the diff if JB goes down again for Boxing Day. Price match only works before you have bought it :D

Its still there anyway, it didnt fit in my car haha! Great tv below 2k! Thanks though:)

        • What, Is your car really small? Can it fit in a regular sedan. I want to do a pickup :)

        • @shadOzer:
I would have been able to fit it in if i put the back seats forward but wasnt able to! Should be fine its not excessive :)

        • @Lumpypumpy:

Borrow a ute or a wagon, or 4WD :D I'm sure someone you know has a Prado or Forester!

        • You can return it if they don’t price match.

      • Good news ,it’s down to $1888 at jb

        • Yes i just realised I can put it towards my xbox one x now!

  • Man, the C7 is still $1000 more.

These OLED prices are amazing, not quite time for me but probably means this time next year prices on the new models will look similar.

    B, E and C compared

    https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/CompareProductsDisplayView?st…

B has a 1ms response time (as opposed to the others 0.02 ms response time!)

    • +1

      Thanks for that.

It seems both the B7 & C7 support Dolby Atmos. I thought only C7 supported it.
      It saves me researching.

      Cheers

so if you dont play games then this is fantastic

and tbf 1ms is nothing to sneeze at either

      • +1

This TV won't have any FPS issues with 1ms response time.

I have the LED UH770T with ~ 12ms and it still runs 4K @ 60Hz PC games well. Slight ghosting at seldom.

I'm waiting for the C7 to drop tomorrow hopefully… to the same price as the B7 :-)
        Fingers crossed.

        Cheers

        • yea I thought 1ms was great 0.02 is stupidly fast!

        • @bobby1234:

          Sorry lol that's a typo

          Its 0.002ms and not 0.02ms.

          My bad!

          Cheers

        • @vinni9284:

wow you are right that is stupidly stupidly fast!!! 8->

  • I wonder if JB will price match? Stack that with 7.5% off JB vouchers…

    • I had them pricematch my $1999 with no questions asked today :)

  • Oh this would be nice for the caravan.

Same at Harveys, good for those with amex

    https://www.harveynorman.com.au/lg-55-b7-4k-ultra-hd-oled-sm…

    • Harvey’s is now $1888!

  • You can usually ask for a better price in store too so it's not just $1888.

Still 50/50 on whether it's a good upgrade over my Sony x8500c… Or is it just a sidegrade. A review on x85D vs oled says grab anything pretty much.

    • They don’t discount items on special.

  • I paid the $1998 from Good Guys eBay deal few days ago, would Good Guys uphold their price guarantee?

    • +1

I paid 2245$ a couple weeks ago…I'll be interested to know too

    • Should
      https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/30-day-price-guarantee

Just quote Harvey Norman or jb's $1888.
I sse they'd beat the difference by 120% too

      • Just tried to fill the form and in the approved competitors' list….only RT Edwards is listed, so will have to go in store to make the claim on Boxing Day, hopefully by then there will be stocks in jb or harvey :(

        • Hmm I bought the B7 from Harvey Norman 8 days ago for $2495.Wondering if they will reduce the price and give me store credit. Will try tomorrow. If I bought from Good Guys I'd be very confident. But I cant see a price guarantee on the HN website. Hopefully they match. Otherwise why by from them in the future?

        • @timbertron: Actually just checked and they do have a price guarantee for 7 days after purchase. Hopefully they can extend that to 8 days. Fingers crossed.

        • +1

@timbertron: go in store, they might honour it as today was Christmas:D, I'm gonna go good guys first thing in the morning to claim price Guarantee

  • nm.

  • Received mine and I have a problem with getting good colour output options via PC output. I only have an option for 4K 60 FPS at 4:2:0, 8 bit limited colour. Why aren’t there any other options? It’s outputing from a GTX1080.

    • Thanks for the info, I was considering getting this exact TV to output in 10 bit from my GTX1080 as well, please let me know if you resolve your issue, as I plan to use it as a large monitor and play videos stored on my RAID.

      • When you turn on Ultra Deep Color for HDMI you can choose 10 bit or 12 bit 422 color, RGB 8 Bit.

Regardless tests indicate some sort of TV trickery and the settings mean less than normal. I find 10 bit 422 the best so far.
