  • Probably part of Christmas range somehow. All Christmas stuff was 75% off when I was there yesterday, so whether they have this specific one would probably vary from store to store. Seems like an item maybe all stores won't stock ;)

got it as a gift last year. it's basically spicy water it's not a nice taste. it's VERY thin. chuck the extra dollar in and get some Tabasco.

That's a real bummer to hear.

I dig the skull bottle, so I might still see if the local Target has one and fill it up with the habenero and mango hot sauce from Byron Bay Chilli Company.

i emptied the bottle and filled it with led lights it looks pretty sick :)

      • Empty it and refill it with a good sauce from elsewhere

Edit: Oh you said that :)

Byron Bay Chilli Hot Sauce, just discovered this Monday. How bloody delicious. Do you know of a chilli sauce that is spicier but still tasty?

        • +1

A couple of years back I tried every hot sauce I could get my hands on at colesworths.

The only sauce that really had a hot kick was the habenero sauce from them. Their other sauces are tasty AF but lacked the intense heat that makes me feel like it's a contest to feel alive. To date it's still the only hot sauce I buy if I want to feel like my face is tingling and going numb. I like Tabasco also not so much for the heat but the taste of vinegar and charred wood.

I know there's a whole world of hot sauces out there, but I haven't myself tracked any of them down.

I'm a fan of the Hot Ones series on youtube and have thought about purchasing online their own hot sauces. They currently hold the title for 'The Last Dab' using Pepper X that has 3 million scoville units.

Probably my fav episode here, I'm a big fan of President Dwayne Elizondo Terry Crews:

@c0balt: Just started watching that show, I like it and I really like that episode, but after every episode I watch I then want to guzzle hot sauce.

Bought a few from local stores and nothing is particularly spicy, compared to picking chillies from my plants and throwing them in my dishes. I don't just want heat though, I've tasted some of those ridiculously hot sauces and it just tastes like burning.

          @FabMan:

The Australian palette is known for having no tolerance for spice. Up until a few years ago I had very low tolerance also.

People here think a spicy zinger burger is actually hot.

Glad to see that Hot Ones has another Australian fan. They seem to get a lot of compliments by the guests for their 2 sauces in that they taste as good as they kick.

What type of chillis do you grow? I've been thinking about doing it myself, but my apartment balcony doesn't get much direct sunlight :(

        • @c0balt: I've read that the Hot Ones own sauce is actually very tasty but also expensive… So there is a problem, lets say I try it and love it, do I then keep ordering the expensive sauce from the US or do I accept the cheaper lower quality local sauces and always think I could be doing better?

          @FabMan:

Yeah that's a bit of a conundrum.. but I can't find any place that has either of them in stock. At $12USD RRP for the fiery chipotle, it's about inline with any other hot sauce?

I did find these, but it's price gouging in the extreme!

          No stock :(

Although the contestants on Hot Ones say Dirty Dicks sauce is tasty, might have to try it lol!

Hi guys. I have spent a lot of time trying all sorts of spicy sauce. https://thechillifactory.com/m/ (hope the link works as I'm a first time poster) has some good choice and they will do promos if your on the mail out. The reaper paste is a a good kick even for a seasoned chilli head. A few new hotter ones arrived Satan's Spit and Scorpion Strike (turbocharged) I'll be trying soon. Hottest I had was flashbang from the states. Was in a little grenade container and it still was kicking after 6 hours. Too much for me. :)

@barblade: Cheers for this, I'll check them out.

Not seeing anything hot enough I made my own tonight and it is a little too hot. Tastes nice though.

        • @c0balt:

mix habanero with proper hot sauce from the asian grocer. you will thank me

  • This stuff tastes like ass, any hot sauce that makes mention of China on the label are rot.

      This stuff tastes like ass

      Tightsauce?

  • Target Melbourne still has heaps of hampers and this hot sauce skull and lot of chocies and biscuits too.

  • Where can one get Byron Bay Chilli Company Sauce from?

    • +1

      Woolies / Coles

JV : Probably from Byron Bay.

  • I use Franks Hot sauce all the time its pretty good stuff !

    • +3

JV: Does Frank mind you using his sauce?

      • +2

Damm I walked into that one hahaha.

  • I have this hot sauce. It's definitely not the best! But for the money it's a good one to throw on most things. It's a little on the salty side, even for a sauce. No way i would pay $10 for it, but $2.50 is fine to keep on the dinner table to throw on eggs and sandwiches.

  • I got one as a $10 secret santa gift at Christmas. As a chilli sauce, it makes an excellent decoration. Haha.

Perfect for your sessions playing Wildlands.
    Or Grim Fandango.

  • Kmart have one similar for $3 and it both tastes nice (similar to tobasco) and is HOT.
