Storage Tubs from Woolworths using Cashrewards, Giftcards and possible CR referral?

Hi all,

Long time lurker… I need a quantity of these storage tubs and just want to maximize the value: https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/429454/sis…

There a lot of deals and offers and think I need an OzB pro to highlight the best path. I would be a new customer to Cashrewards and Woolworths online but do have Woolworths Rewards so I'm thinking the best is:

  • Referral or signup bonus to Cashrewards. (bonuses seem expired but I think referral is current)
  • Purchase Giftcards for WW via CR 5% discount.
  • New customer WW bonus (can't find any but open to suggestions)
  • Purchase storage tubs via CR using said giftcards (looks like there has been bonus CR recently but nothing current…)
  • Any current Woolworths Rewards bonus

Open to any other suggestions or referral bonuses if I'm missing anything?

Oh and i need these exact tubs to match others so there's very few places that stock these specifically and WW only as them occasionally.

Cheers

You can check this page for any current Woolworths coupon offers.
Do keep in mind that Cash Rewards cashbacks are not payable for coupons not listed on their website.
Wait for a cashback increase at Cashrewards if you can, or a coupon code that is listed on their website.
I'm not sure if using a coupon would invalidate any current Woolworths Rewards bonuses. Maybe someone else could provide an insight?

The Woolworths Reward bonus are the lowest priority as they don't seem to present the best value. Can't wait long as the tubs are on current sale and not often in stock. I picked up a bunch in person at 50% off previously but don't know when/if that deal will ever be repeated.

    • Sign up to CR with referral
    • Purchase discount WISH cards @ 5% off
    • New customer WW bonus - Listed on the CR site above - $20 off $100+ spend
    • Pay with gift cards

Be careful, by buying online especially with a big quantity, the local store etc may not have enough stock to supply you

    • Yep local store has none. I was assuming if I order them to pickup instore that they would them in? I'm not talking a big quantity, just 6-10 depending on deal value.

Usually if the store has no stock they just don't supply them.

        • If the website accepts the pickup order for a particular store does this generally indicate they have stock available? (Despite the item not being on the shop floor)

        • @ChrisoS: Not necessarily, it just means they had stock the last time they updated the website. I have found they can be very slow at updating stock levels online.

      • Completely agree with @No.
You could ask if they're going to get more stock in before the special ends & try ordering online on the last day of the special to collect a week later, just to give them time to get organised.
Otherwise, try to get a raincheck, but then you'll have to buy in store with whatever Woolworths Rewards bonus offer is on at the time.

        • Good thinking! Is there a way to find out how long online specials are? Online doesn't seem to say. I think its on the tickets in store but I can't find stock in store…

@ChrisoS: Specials usually end on a Tuesday - New catalogue specials begin on a Wednesday. However, there can be exceptions.
Here are the links to the item on Price Hipster just so you can see how often these are likely to be on special:
          Green
          Blue

@headphonejack: Thanks that's a handy link! Maybe better off waiting for $12.50 again :)

@ChrisoS: Price Hipster is an excellent website for checking price history on a lot of different products.
It was even created by an OzBargainer - jazoom

Or just go to Bunnings - much better value per L at $7.98 for 50L(but only about 90% as nice as the Sistema products granted!). The 60L one from Woolworths you link to is not much of a bargain IMHO - it's the same price the 90L Sistema product was on sale for back in July last year.

    • Agreed it's not a super bargain. But it's the exact dimensions I need. Plenty of cheaper offerings about but not these specific dimensions. Thanks for the suggestion though :)
