Fetch TV - Does The Video Playing in The Background Use Data?

Recently got a Fetch TV, and noticed that there is video constantly playing in the menu screen.

Does this use my internet, and is there any to turn it off?

Sorry if this is not the correct place to ask (I don't know where else to go!)

    I don't know the answer to your question but you might want to try contacting fetch directly and see if they can help you.

    Also they do have an official facebook page but they no longer make it public so I'm unable to provide a link but when it used to be public I did notice people often asking questions and sometimes getting official answers so that might be another avenue if your on facebook.

  • The Fetch constantly uses some data.

  • If you're that tight on data that you've got to consider whether a few images being played use data then you need to upgrade your plan.

    The video playing in the background is the channel you are currently tuned to. If that's a free-to-air TV channel, it is not using any data. If it's Fetch TV channel, it is using data.
