thanks for sharing mate. had similar ones in the last, not that comfortable to be honest… the surface pu leather starts cracking after a while… looks better than it sits.

    • I sort of know what you're saying..
Example I sat on the Bathurst chair at Officeworks and it was overall pretty good.

They put each of the colours on the floor and you could feel which ones were newer(firm and very comfortable) vs the ones which have been sat on lots!

Anyways read the reviews on that.. it's quite entertaining for me at least seeing all the complaints…which made me very hesitant to buy the Bathurst

But this Swift one seemed much much sturdier in my opinion. Couldn't find any reviews on it

Go with something like this from Kogan, for $109 + any item worth $11 or more.

Then grab a $50 off $120 spend code on ebay for ~$10. Plus refer a new account for instant $10 credit off the order.

Brings it to roughly $60. Mine arrived yesterday. Great so far :)

Says free shipping, but if that fails, sign up to shipster for free shipping!

    • Seen loads of those styled ones online but obviously can't put my ass on it for comfort test :(

How's the lower lumbar feeling and leaning back is it firm?

The Swift has retractable arm rests which I thought would be useful at times

      • +1

If you look at the pics, you'll see a little thing underneath that you can twist to adjust the tilt tension. So it can lean back easier/firmer.

Too soon for me to comment on quality. I don't except many Fake-leather chairs to last forever. But for $60 can't complain.

If you're willing to risk it, and you don't like it, I'm sure you could sell on gumtree for the amount you paid.

Here's some reviews that may provide some more insight than I can :)

        • I didn't know about the tilt tension twist! I'll try that when I go to see more instore

    • I bought the same one a few weeks ago but i bought it from eBay for $81, didn't know about the Kogan vouchers :(

Have been happy with mine so far except i'm not a big fan of the raised cushioning in the middle of the seat.

      • What is that cushion for anyway, sitting on the edge of the seat..? or extra padding for mr paddington? ;)

        • +1

The raised cushion bit was a little weird to me at first too, but I don't mind it as it sort of keeps your butt at the back of the chair (which is probably a good thing for posture). Idk if it actually has a purpose, lol.

Btw if you're not a fan of the blue - there are different colours available if you search :)

This is rubbish chair…pu leather just big mess…thrown out in a year. Spend elsewhere

        • @electricbluee: Where else?

    • Wait so then I have the buy the $50 voucher for $10.30 then refer a friend to offset the $10?

And any idea how's the power source on the massage version?
      https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/blackred-8-point-massage-racing…

Is it battery charged or need to connect to power outlet to use?

      • I don't know, but imagine it'd need to be connected to the wall to function, as it says:

        Power: 240V/50Hz
        Power Cable Length: 1.6m

And yeah, you can either try get a kogan $30 off 120 spend code from dominos, then just buy a $20 off code from ebay. Or if you buy the "$50 code" - you will get both of these codes. I believe the $20 one is a frequent flyers birthday offer. But they stack on a $120 spend.

And yeah, if you create a new account using a referral link, you'll get instant $10 credit. Which should equate to $60 off your $120+ order (add another item to reach this).

  • At this price range it would be a fair comparison to the ones you can buy at officeworks. I bought one of those once, the quality of the PU leather is atrocious. It will crack, peel, and then you’ll just throw the chair away. The more expensive ones may be quite a bit more, but I think they’re more durable

    • This one's got a 3 year warranty.. ya reckon it covers the flaking and compression of the cushioning?

      • +1

I don't, because the kind of "damage" i am referring to would be written off as wear and tear, which is not covered by warranty.

        • Did you buy the Swift before or you meant the Bathurst?

        • @steveclassy2: even older than the one that looks in this. I have sat in the officeworks one that looks like this, its the same kind of PU leather.

    • Bathurst chair $148 here

      • Read the reviews on each of those chairs!! :P
