Shame that most people would of already transferred their points during the ongoing 15% bonus. Typical FlyBuys.

    • Yep, I transferred a bulk load last year. Regretting hard now.

I'll stick with Flybuys thanks. Last time I checked, the value of the points, even with the 18%, doesn't stack up.

    • Care to share your formula? I am thinking whether to transfer mine or not

      • I use my fb points for fb dollars. 2000 points = $10. I remember with the conversion it ended up being 2000 = $6-7 vff points. Wasn't worth it.

        • With the 15% bonus, it would end up being 1000 Velocity points; then it's a matter of how much you value the Velocity points and what you do with them. Selling at 1 c/point would breakeven; 1.1+ c/point then you're winning.

I think it's also more attractive to sell a bigger lot than a smaller lot so if you have accumulated heaps from credit card deals, then it's probably better to have a larger pool.

Depends on how you want to use the points.

It stacks up if you use them for virgin reward flights. If your using them for toasters and kettles it doesn't;)

    • I'm not sure why you think that, but i quite enjoy them paying for my business class flights, rather than a saving on groceries or some overpriced item from their online store.
60k velocity points a year from flybuys is a 3-4k business class flight overseas each year.

      • ….and then a very long swim back?

        • Beats economy :D
