Car Insurance Claim History Check

Hi all,

I remember a long time ago there was a website, possibly developed by one of the OzB member, which allows you to check claim history on your car insurance cover, much like the credit score check website.

Is there something like that exist now? I had a claim roughly 3 years ago, but unsure what's on the record which insurers refer to.

Anyone remember?

Thanks!

  • which allows you to check claim history on your car insurance cover,

    https://www.google.com.au/search?q=check%20insurance%20histo…

  • Call your current and past insurance companies and they will happily give you your claims history over the phone. You can possibly ask them nicely to print and send/email and I'm sure they will help you out.

Then you would save $22 + GST going by the referral above.

Well …. this is Ozbargain right? :-)

  • They're the only one left when Veda/Equifax closed theirs.

You'd be surprised what turns up in there. I remember when I checked mine, got a couple of hits from Allianz for my car's extended warranty which Buzz (good riddance) couldn't work out if I've lodged a crash claim or extended warranty claim. At the end, I had to prove it's not an undisclosed crash claim because there's holes in the whole referencing system.

  • Isn’t a REVS check $3

    • Nope, what I meant it's like credit check for insurers

  • Here's the post you were thinking of. It's owned by Equifax now, by the looks of things.

    • Ah that's the one.. So no longer free?
