Just got the last one from Geraldton store, cheers for the heads-up @Jabberwocky

    I know it's not real 4K (Digital Intermediate/Effects Rendered at 2K) but $2 for a Blu-ray and a HDR one at that… worth it.

  • 4k movie disc hey? They sure are getting lazy about naming future technologies.

    • +4

I like it, does what it says on the tin. Unlike Bluray which sounds like a submarine.

  • -7

Sweeeet. I need a new set of drink coasters.

    8.1/10 IMDB

    97% Rotten Tomatoes

    90% Metacritic

    Yeah, what a crap movie….

  • Thank you op

Bought 1 for $4 at Castle towers a month ago, should've waited.

  • This movie is very good even in blu ray, apparently the 4k makes the cgi look bad, especially flames. It's also not a real 4k,2k intermediate

    • im trying to decide between 4k HDR, 3d bluray or chrome edition bluray

      • I would go the chrome edition simply because George argues for it himself.

      • Go for the box set on bluray that way you get the madness of max doco as well. Although cheaply made it is a very in depth doco on the making of the 1st movie.

        • I have all 3 versions
I enjoyed the 3d in the cinema
it was virtually a private screening since I was was 3 friends and there was only 1 or two others

        • @thelastnoob: Lucky you I haven’t seen the 3D version I’d reckon it would add to the whole experience. Are you in Victoria? This time next year is the 40th anniversary of the first Mad Max. There’s a celebration at Clunes, one of the filming locations I just bought tickets. for what should be a cracker of a weekend.

        • @bennybaubles:
No I am in Brisbane. the 3d was really good.I always check 3d ratings although there is a lot of dispute over them
          https://www.cinemablend.com/new/3D-Or-3D-Buy-Right-Mad-Max-F…

        • @thelastnoob: What a great review. I truly feel I’d have liked the movie more if I had seen it in 3d

  • damn this is cheap! wish i had a 4k tv to enjoy it.

Grabbed one from Claremont (WA). Still looked like they had a few copies.

LEGO Movie (4K etc) was also selling for the same price.

    • Got one at Claremont also. Thanks OP

So probably 4 copys country wide… but hey thats adequate quantitys

Castle hill store, where i purchased from, had atleast 15-20 in the cabinet behind them on display. They are a small store, so assuming the other stores should have more , until purchased already

  • Good deal. Terrible movie.

Nice try OP, I got fooled once with a cheap AVR deal which led me to sink $$ into home theatre speakers. I won’t be fooled into buying a UHD bluray player.

PS. any UHD bluray player recommendations?

    • +1

Xbox one 1tb on Amazon for $220 or something. Probably the cheapest?

  • You will need an HDR tv to view it properly.

  • is it only instore?
cant see movies in their website.

    • In stores onyl unfortunately

    Ergh, awful movie. So overrated.

  • Tried this in the Bris central Store and Got laughed out

didn't feel like arguing about it ether Since i Dont feel that strongly about ether of those Films

    • Did they have them in stock? If so they would 100% scan down to $2 in a transaction

      • My store didn't have them out, and I just asked the manager. He checked his stock on the computer, scanned them and was really excited about the price. Worth asking them to scan them.

      • i walked up to the Counter With it bloke scanned it and Yea

plenty of stock for 4k Bds

  • Got a copy in Macquarie centre

    • Was there any other Blu-Rays for $2 at Mac?

      • Not sure, called when deal was put on here and they held one for us to pick up.

  • I'm sure George Miller will be thrilled…

  • Damnit I paid $4 for this a few weeks ago lol.

  • Definitely ask the staff, Went in to my local at Hallett Cove, S.A. and was told he didn't have any 4K's. Then he checked out back and found the last copy of Mad Max and it sure enough scanned at $2 (was the only 4k he could find out back)

  • Fake 4K

    GG Microsoft.

    • None left at Springwood QLD - picked last one & Lego movie too for $2 each

    • Searched for the original offer and found there were three movies being bundled previously. I tried modifying the number in the above search and easily found the Lego Movie. Any chance you could help with Batman vs Superman?

      The Lego Movie - https://www.ebgames.com.au/Stores/find-stock/223032
      Batman vs Superman -

      • +1

I bought all 3 movies today (had to call around to find them, and visit a few stores to collect). Thanks to OP.

The "part number" for Batman vs Superman is 223034 but for some reason the search doesn't work when using that one.

  • EB at Elizabeth, SA had 12 copies left after I bought one about an hour ago.

  • Confirmed with Blacktown NSW store all the 4K/Blu ray titles they had are now sold out across the country but if anyone can prove me wrong please do as i want the 4k

    • Can't see that Elizabeth SA store has sold 12 copies in a few hours. However they were all out the back and not on display and she bought them all out when I got mine. Might very well have gone on display now.

    • Sevo and Wetherill Park are showing stock. https://www.ebgames.com.au/Stores/find-stock/223033
Best call ahead as the stock finder also shows Parramatta, though I got the last one on Monday.

  • Got these to supplement my inevitable Xbox One S/X purchase.

    Thanks!

  • As of an hour ago, Elizabeth SA store still had 13 copies on display at the checkout.

  • Bought yesterday at Bondi Junction store, they still had 3-4 more available if anyone is interested. Not displayed anywhere, it is stored in drawers behind cash counter, ask the staff member.

  • Seems like kind of expensive for a drink coaster.

  • wandered into EB and asked figuring they would all be gone got a MadMax and a Lego for $2 each .. he pulled out a huge stack of Rouge One Blurays (not 4K) to scan to see what they were - $89?? must have been with something else.
