Found this laptop while searching for myself and thought I'd share it with everyone.
Has 128 GB SDD as well as a 1TB HDD.
Should be able to play games at ok settings as it has GTX 940M.

this SKU does have an FHD option but good luck finding it here

100.45 PPI is quite terrible considering the price if you ask me.
its because JB and HN negotiate a build from Acer to make a certain amount of profit and JB HN guess what the Aust consumer wants and they seem to think Aust. consumers are morons who accept this. They probably arent too off base given their clientele (which isnt ozbargain obviously).
I had some dropkick tell me that 768p is "entirely acceptable because if you need more resolution then why not just plug in a monitor!"

Haha yeah these sales reps are so shonky, I went to a JB to buy an external hard drive once and he was trying to sell me the cheapest one in the shop stating "if you need more storage, just buy another one!"Needless to say, I walked away without buying anything because they are that blinded by making money they've forgotten they are supposed to help aid your decision..
any suggestions for a decent laptop at a similar price point (i.e. <$1,200)?

Fwiw - my work laptop has a 940m. It's not a gfx card for modern gaming.
If you want to check out pc games from 5 years ago it will do a swell job.
