  • It is so annoying to use Amazon AU's website. The search results are showing every single size of the same shoe respectively. How funny is that.

  • Clearly a fake

  • Good luck to everyone who has taken the plunge

  • I'm due for a new pair but i will not take a risk, the links are now gone

  • I bought from their new store, fingers crossed, if it's fake or I'm not gonna get it, will just get Amazon to refund and hopefully get a voucher as well, it's a win either way!

Looks like the "Sports 2018" store has disappeared and a new store "Hey Vocy" has appeared with the same deals. Too chancy for me.

  • Those that are concerned with this seller I have raised a online chat with amazon which stated they will contact seller.

I recommend that you do the same if you have purchased this item as it is definitely suspicious

My order just shipped from China
    Got a tracking number

    Let’s see what turns up!

    • Same here.
Update 5 in description to reflect shipping and tracking.

    • No shipping advise as yet.

      • Got a shipment advise with China Post tracking #

  • My order has also been shipped from China with a tracking number.

  • I got a shipment notification from Amazon..hope it is not fake,lol

  • Same here. I got the Amazon shipment notification as well.
And yes, China post tracking number.

  • No tracking for me yet. I twice requested cancellation, no reply. Also did the webchat with amazon but they just pointed at the a-z guarantee and told me not to worry. I assume I’ll get tracking soon too, then.

    • Tracking added overnight, along with the "dear friends" mass email (same as the Bose people got).

    • How does amazon know they are not selling fakes when the seller ships it’s stuff from their own warehouses and not amazons? Amazon has no idea who seller is, given they just closed shop from sports2018 to original 2018. Lol, next thing we see is newsportsorignal 2018 lol

  • Just got shipment notice, they shipped and to wait and should be here in 7 days.

If fake Amazon will deal with refund, and I will probably keep shoes as too expensive to send back, if genuine, well I got some shoes cheap, though I did want the 4E width, and these will probably be 2E width …

takes a while for tracking update, and by that time they will probabaly be close to home.

Amazon stuff often needs to be signed for, so as usual I wont be home and will need to pickup from a drop off point (post ofiice, 7/11, etc).

  • also just got shipment message. so annoying though, i got wrong size, asked to cancel, then they say what size I would want instead, delayed writing back, so replied with a different size but already freaking posted. great, now probably stuck with fakes that don't even fit

    • +1

perhaps if they're fake the sizing will be off in your favour.. allowing you to be only one with proper fitting fake shoes

  • I've ordered, went to cancel, but they sent already posted. Suspect they are ignoring all request to cancel. just not sure how I'm going to appeal to Amazon confirming they are fakes. How can I supply the evidence? ASICS direct, or is there a web forum on what to look for?

    • see post of 4foxache, first page.

      • I recon we all are getting the same kind so if it's fake for one ozbargainer, it'll be fake for everybody as well.

  • If its a fake we will need to start a "class action" …………….

  • The tracking number is real, but it's not your package. Probably Joe Bloggs from Ledsville who ordered a widget off eBay or AliExpress a few days ago. Our "dear friend" is just plugging those into Amazon to make it look more legit, until someone else signs for the parcel and by then they're long gone. See info in the "beats" headphones thread - same issues. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/365916?page=2#comment-5742…. I'd rather deal with no delivery than fake shoes so I'm a bit happier in that sense.

  • Cancelled my order via Amazon online chat as well - as soon as they saw the order, they knew and didn't hesitate to cancel and then proceeded to explain that "Seller being investigated, issue has the highest priority, your money is safe, etc."

Rather not wait for what may or may not turn up…

Im clinging onto hope this is real. Really need new shoes

  • My tracking number is RT38551****HK, and used the Hong Kong post track and trace service informing me the parcel was posted on the 16th March and destination was to Australia. Interesting how others had items shipped via China Post.

I only purchased because I made a promise to myself that I would get fit once I have these overpriced shoes for a bargain price. I might have to resign myself to the fact I will be an eternal slob if they don't turn up or are fake.

  • I got onto Amazon and they are taking action against this buyer - Numerous complaints! Refund requested.

    • Just chatted with Amazon, and they filed a report and gave me my money back. Should be in my account in 2-10 days. They are fully aware of the issue with the seller and I did not need to explain much for them to offer a refund.

  • If you ordered these I recommend you action a refund immediately.

Fake tracking numbers have been provided. Amazon Australia have refunded… I was quite disappointed as they made me jump through a few hoops despite calling them directly.

    • So how do you know the tracking number is fake? Or that the seller is dodgy? I've been reading this thread, but I can't see anything aside from people saying 'seems dodgy' and 'clearly fake'. First time using Amazon; I bought 2 pairs of these shoes, and now I don't know what to do. Do you just click 'File/View claim' button on your order?

The tracking information said “delivered”… to Hamilton, Victoria. Hamilton is a rural farming town hundreds of kilometres away from where I live in Melbourne.

As previous users have stated, these tracking numbers are legit but belong to a third party to give the pretense of legitimacy.

To answer your question on the Amazon refund process, I thought calling them would be the most efficient method… I spoke with a rep who spoke with her manager who told the rep I would need to file a form in writing… the form emailed to me was for an infringement of intellectual property and it was only for the rights holder (!!).

So I just clicked get in contact under help and said it related to something other than the order and my money was refunded shortly after.

        • Hey, thanks for explaining. I got onto the live chat, explained what I was after, and they processed the refund immediately; no questions asked.

This might help some people -

    Ruqsar: You're welcome.
I'm afraid that this seller is not genuine and we've received multiple contacts regarding this seller and our back end team has investigated on this and it was true.
Hence we are filing a claim against the seller and will issue a refund.
Me: okay, when will the refund come through?
Ruqsar: I've successfully filed a claim and refund has been issued.
It would take 2-10 business days for the refund to reflect on your bank account
Me: okay, thanks so much Ruqsar
Ruqsar: You’re welcome. Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
    Me: thats it, thank you

    • Same rep helped refund my order too. Quick and easy.

  • For those who put in claims, have you had the item "delivered" (e.g., tracking indicates it has arrived but you never got it)? I've chatted twice to Amazon but my delivery is still en route to Australia, so I have no claim to make yet.

    • Mine is still in transit from China.
Got on to Amazon Chat, no problem getting refund as per chat transcript:-
"11:11 AM AEDT William: Thank you for the confirmation, we have received a fraudulent on this seller and please do not worry, I will go ahead and file the A-Z claim on the seller and make sure you get refundded."

I would talk to Amazon chat.

      • I just got an email from Amazon telling my refund was approved under the A-z guarantee. I hadn't contacted them since last week and they didn't raise a claim then, so they must have come back to my case today and actioned it based on the other complaints here.

        • To close the loop on my experience, the "shoes" were delivered to a town 200km from where I am. Pretty consistent with everyone else's experience.

  • Hi All,
Same got refunded from Amazon, it was still enroute they confirmed issues with the supplier.

  • My order was delivered to "HOPE VALLEY SA, Delivered" but am in NSW!!
Anyway made a A-Z claim got the refund same day.

  • first i knew of all this trouble was today. I received an email from amazon refunding my order. So it seems they are refunding everyone. regardless of whether you made a claim or not never mind

  • "My" package was delivered to an address in rural Queensland, and I live in Melbourne. I've had three orders cancelled due to price error or sham.

  • Scam, got a refund from Amazon. Was worth a shot.

  • Amazon give voucher? Glad I decided to sit this out

  • Got the tracking number last week, after it said delivered to my address, I checked with Australia post and that tracking number was for a completely different address, 350km from Melbourne (Swan hill).

Called Amazon, they arranged a refund, haven't heard back from Sport 2018 who I sent the Austpost tracking info to.

At first I thought maybe they mixed up mailing labels and tracking info, but because they didn't reply to info I sent them, they were either incompetent or scamming.

Could runners get this cheap ….. the DFOs are usually 25% off retail all the time, and sometimes do an extra 40% off the already discounted price, so you can get close.

  • Not surprised

  • It's quite a pity - my first purchase with Amazon AU is a scam.

Yes I know I have got the refund, but still it's bit of a disappointment - was looking forward to run with a new pair of runners. I was going to be amazed by the huge discount that Amazon AU offers which are scared by local shops and businesses.
