aaah bet me to it ;) I just finished writing mine up clicked post and got the alert "deal with URL already posted" haha.

Anyway was going to also point out, it's the same deal from almost exactly one year ago. And I was presuming the coupon/barcode is generic as they have been for many deals, and since yours is the same as mine it seems it is generic.

Here is a copy of the barcode and other information if you want to print for in-store use.

Anybody buy it last year who would care to comment on their experiences?

I don't have one, but a friend of mine said a weighted keyboard (which this has) is so much better for playing piano music, it feels much more like the "real thing". If you practise on a standard electronic keyboard, you'll have trouble when you are put in front of a real piano, it takes more effort to move the keys and you won't be used to that.

    • Don't have one either, but I have a Yamaha and have tried these in store. I would say good for the price if you want to practise. Action, sound and pretty much everything is better in the Yamaha. Depends how serious you are, etc..

I've played one before and found the keys to be more "mushier" than the snappy action on the Casio's at this price range. I ended up getting the Casio AP250 from this deal. But this is 100% personal preference, same with any musical instrument.

I justified the extra $$ for the included stool and official base (instead of having it on a X frame stand). So maybe also look into how you're going to store, or keep the Digital Piano in your house, as it may cost you a lot more for a stand and stool.

If you want to learn piano or are just looking at digital piano's, weighted keys are essential. A general Keyboard won't teach your hand's correct action. Your muscles will be weak and not strike a key with the correct force if you make the switch to a real Piano. An overexaggerated example is learning to play basketball with a beach ball, then being given a real basketball, you're muscle memory will be outta wack for shooting and dribbling!

    • Bought this one about 3 or 4 years ago. My wife (who plays piano and used to play Yamaha Upright Piano) says it's really good. She is very happy. It's got very good weighted keyboard.
