Edward Christopher Sheeran Concerts in Australia - opinions

I sit on the fence with Ed. I respect his talent and his creative lyrics and enjoy some of his songs.

I don't like him enough to attend a concert though.

The footage I have seen from his current Australian tour looks a little boring and the crowd don't appear over enthusiastic either.

Did you attend and was it worth it?

  • Always wondered whether you pronounce his last name as "Shiraaaaaaan" or "Shiren"

I enjoyed it, thought it was amazing how he only needs his guitar and a loop station to play all his music. He pretty much sang for 2 hours straight, which may be boring for people who like to see a bit more 'action'.
The crowd standing on the ground floor might've been a bit more enthusiastic, you can definitely hear people singing with him during the chorus.

  • I've been to three shows. The first at Festival Hall, the second at AAMI Park and now at Ethiad.

I think for his type of performance, a small intimate show like at Festival Hall is without a doubt a better experience as you are closer and can feel the energy more. Whereas at these larger shows, you really just sit back and enjoy the quality of his singing.
