Is it as good as fortnite though?

    • Well it’s a very different game.

    • it is the best game of this generation. because of it, i made up my mind to buy a ps4.
"Aah, you were at my side, all along. My true mentor… My guiding moonlight…"

      • Ahh, Kos, or some say Kosm… Do you hear our prayers?

Bloodborne was a free game on PSN + last month.

    • So? Not everyone has a PS+ subscription.

Sounds like you're on your bloodbornes this week.

    Game of The Year

    According to who?

    I wasn't asked to vote…

    • TBH, I had a go on Bloodborne because it was free. I didn’t enjoy a single bit of it. Graphics and controls were average. Turned it off in less than 30 mins.

      • it is ok. even if you continue, father gascoigne will make you turn it off very soon.

      • +2

Controls flow much better than The Witcher 3

      • Of course, it's different strokes for different folks.

But personally, I found it terrific. I've sunk heaps of hours into it, but still haven't finished it. My take on it is that it's a faster, slightly more forgiving Dark Souls style game.

        • +3

          you should try Nioh.
faster, not forgiving and a whole lot of fun!

        • @RichDad PoorSon:
Definitely on my must buy list… it just hasn't crossed the price threshold. :)

The only upside of having such a huge pile of shame is that I always have a game that I haven't played that I already own. So there's slightly less impetus to buy stuff at full price.

        • @RichDad PoorSon:

Ohhhh I was on the fence with Nioh. How's that game? Sorta reminds me about Onimusha.

        • +1

@xenoic: it's absolutely nothing like Onimusha (not a hack-and-button-mash game).
It's one of my favourite games from last year. it looks like onimusha but play like Soul's game on steroid because it's a lot faster, which I prefer.
Nioh is probably the only ps4 game that doesn't fall in price in the last year, hovering around $50 mark consistently.

        • i bought Nioh last year from EB for like 20

        • @aorusozbarg:
          Good catch, sir/madam.

        • @RichDad PoorSon:
May I just add that I had many fond memories of trying to perfect one shotting in all the onimusha games. Timing was KEY, striking just as I was about to be hit. I think it was called ripostes or something like that.

        • First 2 games I bothered getting platinums (Nioh and Bloodborne)

    • +3

game of the year means it is the final release, including the base game and all the dlcs.

game of the year means it is the final release

Apologies. I must have accidentally transported to a parallel universe…

        • -1

it is true. if you put game of the year edition into google. you can see some very shitty games there, such as lords of the fallen… in fact, bloodborne is too good for game of the year title. awww, i miss my journey to defiled dungeon to fight watchdog…

$33 for a game that was free last month.

    • +3

Didn't include the excellent DLC, and it's only 'free' so long as you pay the PS+ ransom.

  • Just went back to the original price :-(

  • It's on sale on the PSN store for $17 atm
