To add baggage each way is about $102.
So it’s then „from ~$920 return” if you need baggage. Then you may want to add meals, I guess. You also tend to spend more dollars at the airports, waiting longer for connecting flights. Correct me if it’s not the case, I’m just pointing out possible issues.
Low price if you just need to get to Europe on a budget, with sandwiches in your cabin luggage. I could do that.
Edit: But then it becomes well above $1000 from Sydney or Melbourne… yeah, nah.
For flybageat it was +160 each way. Rather being my own food /stuff myself at transit terminals before flight lol. Meals on Scoot are ridiculously expensive!!!
I was looking at Scoot for Europe around September, it was only $100ish cheaper than SG airlines. Sg airlines also use Scoot as their partners but you get 30kg baggage instead of the 20kg Scoot. I feel it's worth paying extra for piece of mind (if you add meals on Scoot, booking on Sg Airlines might end up being cheaper). But if you are a one bag backpacker, then Scoot might be the better deal.

@pizzaguy: I've seen a few people do that and live off bare minimum, and living each day as it comes. While I admire their drive, I couldn't do that, I'm a zealous overpacker!
