Best place to repair a Huawei Mate 9?

I already fixed it once before from another country but it randomly broke again (didn't even drop it). I wanna fix it so that I can trade it in for $100 and upgrade to new phone with a new plan (Optus).

However, to do that I have to fix my screen. Are there any good locations in Sydney? The Huawei Service Center is way too far away. Thank you :)

…trade it in for $100 and upgrade to new phone with a new plan (Optus). However, to do that I have to fix my screen.

No chance you'd be able to replace your screen for $100 or less to make the trade-in worthwhile!

    • Even if the total price gets up to like $250, I want it because now my front camera is broken and the screen is annoying to use.

      • You said earlier that you wanted to fix it for a trade-in to upgrade.

Did you mean that you want to fix it to use now and then upgrade some time later, like months down the track?

        • I'll fix it and then upgrade it right after fixing it.

        • @Idu2001:

          How does that work?
Maybe I'm not understanding something correctly… You're willing to spend up to $250 to fix the phone so that you can trade that fixed phone at Optus for $100 off a new phone?

Edit: I just read your other posts down below - I understand now! :)

      • eBay. Buy a working one, sell yours for parts.

You’ll find for the trade in, it has to be repaired by Huawei or it won’t be possible to trade in.

Why is the service center too far?

    • Optus told me I can fix it from any good and authentic shops. Also, the service center is like past the city up north so I can't really get there

      • Get that in writing.

Other carriers that offer the same trade in / year upgrade program often require the phone to be repaired by an authorised repairer and need to work.

So you want to fix a phone that's only worth $100 @ trade in? Kinda silly…..

    • Should have clarified. I pay $100 and then i get a new phone (S9+) and a new plan.

      • ok, well yes. That changes everything!

  • People on facebook marketplace will fix your screen for a reasonable fee. There are ads from each locality in Melbourne at least.

But this will cost you around 100 Aud ore more for a high end screen.

  • hhmmm, let us consider the options:

    (1) spend nearly $100 to fix it and then trade it in for $100; or
    (2) sell it on ebay in it's current state and get >$100 for it.

No, trade it in and PAY $100 to get a Galaxy S9+

      • sorry, I missinterpreted the description/original post.

as in "trade in old phone for $100 (credit), and then upgrade/buy a new phone"

didn't realise it was "trade in old working phone and then upgrade to a new phone for $100"

        • Yeah sorry that was my fault
