Pre Paid Recommendations

Hello all,
All I need is a sim card with loads of data , now kogan is great ( under $5 23 gig) but I hate the port out port in / out drama every month.
My phone usage is very very min.I make just 2-3 calls a month which might be about 5 - 7 mins of air time.
Any recommendations to make it easy for me is appreciated.
I rearecanted someone mentioning to buy a good phone like a s9 on plan then sell the phone and pay the phone and just stick to the plan.not sure of the math and how that works and but what if the phone doesn't sell.I really don't need a high end phone for my so called usage.

Will look forward to your thoughts.

Cheers

  • under $5 23 gig

    Can you clarify this?

      Also "rearecanted".

    • Kogan has 1st month promo $4.90 for 23gb

      • cheers. tbh that deal is hard to beat.

Ok, so really your only choice is either

    • to pay significantly more and get a better plan - aldi mob is a good example $45/mo for 17GB + unlimited calls and sms.
    • Change to a dual sim phone, port your number to something long term (i.e. vodafone 365 for $20 a year), and keep changing plans for data.
  • Aldi, basic sim with the 20GB data pack (365 day validity). Phone calls come off the credit on the SIM.

  • TPG mobile

  • Up to 8gb add-on has been around for ages via vodafone 365 during certain time of the week. But for my experience, harnessing that has often been problematic, even after including dual sim phone or two phones / services, unfortunately.
Easy promotional kogan flat-rate accounts have proven best but up to a few services per address + still incorporating perm sim in slot 1. Am ok biding my time until some networks share resources or, most optimally, voda absorbs in to TPG! hah.

Kogan 40% off could be worth a look: https://www.kogan.com/au/shop/phones/prepaid-plans/
(or look classifieds for someone selling a 2-for-1 voucher from last month's deal.)

  • Thank you allfor.

    Thanks battler.
    The kogan - https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-mobile-prepaid-voucher-co…

Works out to be $25+ a month.

I am shuttling between different operators for now.the porting drama sometimes can cut me off if I fumble the timing.
