I used to do that all the time. I've now learnt to eat slowly!

  • Slice it in half

Get gregarious motorcycle enthusiasts to knock out the offending teeth.

  • I eat all my food through a straw, its saved my life. I can get so much more done in the day!

  • Depends on what your teeth and face looks like. Obviously, if your teeth are lined up against your lip and opposing teeth, that would be a constant guillotine.

Can be as simple as botox to manage lip position, or fix your teeth alignment with doodads.

Don't chew your food anymore - I know some bikies who can help you practice eliminating your gag reflex.

  • OP, this may fix your problem.

This has happened to me too. I think what happens is when you bite your tongue it swells where it was bitten. That swollen bit then becomes more susceptible to being bitten again (it gets in the way). I kind of dabble in mindfulness in situations like this, which means you have to be focused while you are eating. This will give swelling a chance to go down and before you know it you will have forgotten all about it. It might take a day or two of focused eating though.

Have you checked if you have a food allergy which could be causing swelling in your mouth?

  • Extract offending teeth

  • consider your self lucky it was only 3. my record is 5, 5x biting the exact same spot. i wouldnt wish 5 on my worst enemy.

i think this is the umtimate first world problem. eating to much/to fast gives us pain, but we fight throught it only to make it worse with more food. if only the third world knew our pain…

  • Is your face fat? I found when I was fat and chewed my food too fast I’d bite my cheek. Lost fat, gained muscle, ate my food slower - problem solved. Try chewing gum - improves jaw muscular function - make sure to swap sides so there aren’t imbalances.

  • Firstly, slow down and be more conscious of your chewing. You'll find it easier to avoid biting the inside of your cheek. (I talk from experience).

Secondly, rinse with a heaped teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and warm water OFTEN (i.e. every hour if possible… aim for that, if you get close it will be ok). The alkaline solution helps the mouth to heal a little faster than if you left it alone. It also soothes irritation and helps clean the area of any food particles. (This comes from my treating mouth ulcers in chemotherapy outpatient clinics).

  • I have heard talk of mouth lesions sometimes being a cause of oral cancer. So that would lead one to think cheek biters may be more susceptible to developing oral cancer. Only anecdotal though. Just eat slower for better digestion and lessen chances of bowel diseases
