Want to Use iTunes Giftcard Deal to Re-Sign up for Netlix - Have to Use The Apple ID or Can I Use Another Email?

Learned from previous questions that this is surprisingly necessary: serious replies only please.

Situation:

Have a current subscription with "[email protected]"
Want to use the iTunes cards deal to save some money over time.
Have to cancel first.
Have never even used the App store, not sure if I add funds to account from activation code or so I need to specifically assign it to the Netflix app.
Not sure if I can keep using my "[email protected]" or if I have to use my "[email protected]".
Want to resign up with same account - "[email protected]" but understand there's an Apple ID associated with the gift cards, therefore…can I still use [email protected] but with "[email protected]"'s wallet?

simply cancel your account with Netflix, you will get an email after your pre-paid month saying your Netflix account has lapsed. Simply download the Netflix app on your iOS device, resub with your same account, and it should be good to go. Your saved library and previously-viewed movies etc should all still be there. If oyu have any issues, pop over to Netflix chat and they are really helpful..

It's a really simple process and you dont have to make a new account. I've saved so much money doing this the past few years

  So I'm trying to get this sorted now - credit is in my Apple account and I made sure my account was "active" by purchasing a book with it…but I can't register on the ipad - it gives me this message, which I press "ok" and it just makes me sign in again and loops and gives me the message again.
  
  As shown in image, only options are "Sign In", "Help" and "Recover my Password", none of which are at all helpful.
  
  Been through the chat and the guy was useless - any ideas?
  
  I am supposed to be able to sign into the app, it takes me to the "restart account" and just go through normally aren't I?
