121

Hi all, this has to be the cheapest dual sim band 28 mobile phone out there and quite possibly the cheapest genuinely band new (with the original box) Samsung galaxy S6 around on the net, both sims are 4g and both are band 28. Its $289.99AUD and comes with free Australia post-Express shipping, you should get it within 1-3 days of it being sent. They are all located in Melbourne, hurry, limited stock (23 total)

They work on all carriers in Australia and as mentioned it is band 28!
I tested them on antutu and it performed well above a normal stock Samsung Galaxy S6

Dual Sim Dual LTE Band 28 Mobile phone,

    and

    AU Stock

I don't think Samsung's ever sold dual sim phones in Australia…

      • +5

So the 'AU stock' simply refers to the physical location of the phones right now…gotcha.

        • -8

Yes, so the stock is in AU, you are correct they have not made dual sim's for Australia, in fact they only made around 2 dual sim ones, the 920FD and the rarer band 28 9200 which I managed to track down (because not all 9200's are dual sim otherwise they would have a model number with "D" in it haha.

        • +4

@phillipdi: aus stock usually means it was designed and made for australia. I think you mean stocked in australia

        • -8

@Micoa: Right, No phone (of any common name I'm aware of) is designed or made in Australia. From my perspective at least "AUS Stock" is short for "Australian Stock", meaning what it says, Stocked in Australia, and in the case of a product where there are virtually no known products made in the county where the "stock" is stated to be located, then I think it would be reasonable to understand that it says what it says, Australian Stocked Phones. But if your in a different sector perhaps you would see it that way. Sorry for the confusion

          @phillipdi:

"AUS Stock" is short for "Australian Stock", meaning what it says, Stocked in Australia

No. Most people here (especially judging by the above voting of comments) would consider AU stock as being official Australian stock where if there was an issue, we would be able to receive support and repairs without issue at an Australian Samsung retail store.

        • +1

@IceCreamBandit: Right, well for the record the only Australian model is the SM-G920i for anyone reading, any different model is not the Australian one regardless of what country it is stocked in. I changed the title now

        • @phillipdi: also a moto g5+ is duel, band 28 and often at this price :) with Aus warranty

        • @Slippery Fish: Dual sim? Please send a link to it! :) Also its moto :( what are the specs like?

        • @phillipdi: https://m.catch.com.au/product/motorola-moto-g5-plus-xt1685-32gb-4g-dual-sim-sim-sim-free-unlocked-space-gray-1057447/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0-Pj0Oqg2wIVyQorCh0MyQlGEAQYAyABEgJEMfD_BwE&iv_=iv_p_1_a_934060956_g_48114289913_c_222157488894_k__m__w_aud-296349592699%3Apla-325418297884_n_g_d_m_v__l__t__r_1o3_x_pla_y_11248162_f_online_o_1057447_z_AU_i_en_j_325418297884_s__e__h_9069185_ii__vi&offer_id=1655827

Using one right now, it's a great phone. Duel Sim works well, camera takes good photos, ect ect.

          $275, mines cheaper too. :P

        • @Slippery Fish: moto are often overlooked for phones they are stocked by officeworks, tgg, and a few other local stores, but check catch if it’s australian stock and warranty and charger or grey …… catch seems to becoming almost like ebay with stuff also from overseas suppliers.

if i was on a budget and wanted au warranty moto would be on my shopping list.

    • The Sharp Aquos S2 is dual sim with band 28, around $210 delivered (approx 3 weeks delivery) from JoyBuy.

      • some people want au warranty and au charger .

        • "the cheapest dual sim band 28 mobile phone out there" is the claim, and it's not true. Regarding au warranty, the seller has stated his business is now based in Hong Kong. So although he has an Australian address, this isn't an Australian warranty backed by an Australian company, and this is not Australian stock. Personally I would feel more comfortable dealing with a very large Chinese or HK seller, rather than a small dealer, but that's just me.

  • It comes in original sealed packing or is in generic box?

    • Original sealed box, with the original sealed package, charger, cables etc

  • +1

The S5 and a7 are exceptionally cheap (less than $40 new) any gotchas that I need to be aware of?

    • No, the 5s is not in Australia, I can meet you in Melbourne and we can test it togather and your paying by paypal, I'm not kidding, I personally oversaw this whole thing, I went to HK, I tested the phones, I even weighed them. There's no gotchya. I think some chargers might come with a AU adaptor but there's no issue

      • +1

New Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 32GB SM-G930V Unlocked Smartphone – Phill the Quality for $52.57 is outstanding. Surely these can't be genuine…

        • the lte bands might be lacking on that one.

      • Well I think a lot of people are going to be uneasy about warranty, since it's going to be with you and not Samsung.

You went all the way to HK and purchased the stock yourself. That's a bit worrisome. Are you a registered business with an ABN?

        • +1

Worrisome?? HOW??? I got them from HK next to Shenzhen where they are made and then personally oversaw their delivery into Australia as much as possible where they were re-tested.

You can see in the messages here my old ABN was
          https://abr.business.gov.au/SearchByAbnHistory.aspx?SearchTe…

I now have a HK company.
I've been in business 6 years, your also paying by paypal

        • +2

          @phillipdi:

Would you expect a proper business like MobileCiti, Amaysim or even Kogan to send a rep (much less the boss of the company) over to HK to inspect and weigh the stock? That's a guy selling stuff on ebay as a hobby on the side, not reporting his income to the ATO.

A regular business would have a supply chain, not personally go out there to procure stock.

Paypal only covers you for a period of time. I can't remember how long. If a dispute isn't made in something like 90-180 days, you're on your own. Paypal is not a panacea for reckless purchasing.

A HK company isn't going to be difficult to deal with in a legal situation. You have an old ABN but your HK company doesn't have one. Even Kogan has an ABN. The ACCC could step in and help you out if you have a problem with their service. You're out of their hands.

        • -1

@lostn: O_O you think a "proper" busines don't send a "rep" to HK to inspect it????????????????????????????????????????????? Well know nothing about the operations of these businesses, Kogan started that way… He has COUNTLESS reps and inspectors there, I have a number of inspectors there, I went there myself to oversee it all because I was killing 2 birds with one stone.

How do you not feel better knowing that a person, in this case the boss personally made sure there was no issue with your phone and stock before it was sent out?

        • -1

@phillipdi: Yeah well Ruslan Kogan doesn't go there himself.

          Kogan started that way

That's the problem. You're starting. He's established. It's hard to trust a guy who's just starting out. You could disappear at any time, and there goes my warranty. Ruslan isn't going to do that.

You're not even a registered business in AU. You can't be held liable by Australian law when something goes wrong. Your status is no different from a random chinese ebayer. In other words, the government can't do anything about it if you're unhappy, and you're in ebay's hands, which generally has safeguards to protect the buyer. And we don't even have that much with you.

It's safer to go with someone who's been established for years. It sucks to the little guy trying to make a start in the world, but that's life.

How do you not feel better knowing that a person, in this case the boss personally made sure there was no issue with your phone and stock before it was sent out?

I feel better when the stock you buy doesn't need to be inspected. If you're Amazon and you're selling hundreds of thousands of products, you don't send hundreds of thousands of reps all across the globe to inspect and see products through. You only source from trusted suppliers or directly from the vendor. You're buying from high risk suppliers and need to personally go out there and check it out. I don't feel confident about this at all. All I have is your word, which means nothing without a guarantee. And don't use Paypal as your counter. It's going to be your word against mine.

        • @lostn: YOU DON'T THINK AMAZON INSPECT THEIR PRODUCTS IS THAT CORRECT?
          Okay, bye :)

        • @lostn: YOU DON'T THINK KOGAN HAVE INSPECTORS FOR THEIR GOODS?
          Okay, bye :)

        • @lostn: YOU DON'T THINK PAYPAL IS A SECURE MEANS OF PAYMENT?
          Okay, bye :)

        • @lostn: YOU THINK YOU CAN'T INITIATE A CHARGEBACK FOR SOMETHING YOU BUY WITH A VISA/MASTER CARD?
          Okay, bye :)

        • @lostn: YOU THINK 6 YEARS IS JUST STARTING?
          Okay, bye

    • +1

The gotchas is you can kiss your money goodbye as you won't receive the phone.

      • I'm a bit (read a lot) suspect. I would definitely pay by PayPal. Happy to stand corrected.

    • gah I kinda wanna go for the a7 but I know those bands are probably a mistake. It doesn't specifically say the model number so i cant know.

      • hey, make sure you re-fresh your pages, cloudflare fixed the issue

    • +1

the s5 were great phones, i used to have one and still know people using them, fhd and all australian bands if right model and weather proof removeable battery battery, only downside is android software updates stopped long a go but still better than what you get at coles or woollies for $100 phone.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Good deal.

    • thank you :)

  • This is a good deal even for a phone of this age. The S5 was a great phone and while some things went backwards with the S6 I think this if this is legit for the price, it's a deal.

    • Yeah .. buyer beware with this one. If the owner listed how he came about these so cheap I'd be a lot more inclined to believe the price. Hopefully they don't come with genuine Sorny headphones.

      • You're right. How the 5S as old as it is can be $27 I have no idea.

Phil, why don't you try and build some good will with the community by shipping one on a trial basis to someone. If you're selling these for $27 what harm could it do?

Or better yet run competition and give out 5. These are old phones yes, but if they are new and genuine people could find a purpose for them at this price. If genuine, of course. You would sell out your stock in no time.

        • hi mate, pelase re-fresh the links to other deals mentioned, there seems to have been an issue with our CDN, but the S6 which is what I'm talking about has no issues, I'll take your suggestion on board.

Hi mate, I have been in business for 6 years now, my first abn can be found here
      https://abr.business.gov.au/SearchByAbnHistory.aspx?SearchTe…

My eBay site has been open 3 years now with 97.8% positive feedback (predicted to be at 98.9% in the next few months).

      You are paying by paypal

It comes with a 1 year PhillipDi warranty.

I'd love to see your evidence

      Don’t Buy Gyus Be careful..

This appears to be your first comment on Ozbargain so could you elaborate please?

  • whmm tempting

  • So, I can buy 2 'Genuine Unlocked Samsung Galaxy Mobile Phones from Hong Kong' for $60?

    (A7 @ $33.66 + S5 16GB G900V @$26.27)

    1. will they work?
    2. will they work in oz?

(edit) 3. will they even arrive?

  • -1

Hi guys, please make sure your using the updated version of the site, some other links prior to this deal have been updated, we had an issue with cloud flare but we have since purged all cache's, I'm happy to talk about other deals if I post them on here, you can also IM Me, but make sure your using the most recent version by pressing the shift button when you refresh as some of those prices are not right

  • Do you have any deals on a Galaxy S7. Dont need dual sim or the edge.

    • I certainly do! In melbourne I got the Samsung Galaxy S7 32gb SM-920F MODEL (band 28 International) for $429.99 brand new in the box with express shipping

  • +1

I hope you are honouring the prices if people purchased earlier ;)

I think the site you were looking for was oztestyourwebsite.com.au

Can I suggest you take it down and stick to eBay till its fully tested.

I'm going to leave you alone now. Good luck with the business great prices but looks very amateurish and unfortunately not for me as I'd be worried about warranty.

    • Hi mate, well if 6 years in business is too ameature for you by all means step into Harvey Norman (and bring 1.25k with you, with $250 for the extra warranty they will sell you and still not honour)

And yea, the issue was with cloudflare, we had no one buy it at those prices as you would not have been able to pay for it

  • Fwiw, when I search on ebay for galaxy s6 new, I find listings like this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Samsung-Galaxy-S7-S6-4G-LTE-…

which, if I'm correct, with PULL5 coupon, a new black 32gb galaxy s6 comes to $256.49
Seems that might be the korean model though.

So the price doesn't seem thaaaat great when you consider it's a pretty old phone with only a 2550mah battery, and microUSB. So it's not as "WOW" as it first seems.

    • the problemo with your guy is "No original box or extended warranty period. 3 Month Warranty. 10% Re-stocking fee for change of mind purchases this covers shipping, handling and re-stocking. Item must be returned in its original condition including all the components to qualify. Buyer pays all return shipping. Please read our Warranty Terms and Conditions listed in eBay store please before purchasing this item. Battery performance may vary based on usage and cannot be guaranteed to meet Brand New Manufacturers specs. By selecting Buy It Now you agree to our warranty terms and conditions. Delivery date is an estimate only. Condition - Used Device with Light to Moderate signs of use such as light scratches or dents. Please read item description for more details"

So yea, its NOT new, otherwise seiously, wheres the box? did they eat it??? and 3 month warranty? Yea, you get about that with paypal..
So by all means, at your own risk

    • Also, that listing does NOT have band 28, nor is it dual sim

      • +3

Phil, last time you tried to post deals on Ozbargain you were encouraged strongly by the Ozbargain community to be more transparent, more patient and honest with your potential buyers, be more upfront about the warranty provided by you, and a lot more gracious and coherent in your responses to questions.
I fear you have not changed and that you are just as desperate to sell, just as before. Ozbargainist's are, in my opinion, literally some of the smartest shoppers out there, and its almost impossible to pull the wool over their eyes and deceive them. Just my opinion, but you still have a manner which is insulting and condescending, and it makes me not want to buy from you at any price. For now anyway, that's how I and perhaps others feel, though I know I cannot speak for other Ozbargainists!
You need to prove that buying from you is risk free and safe. I say again….you need to PROVE it. Somehow.

        • Sure, ultumately your shield here is your paying with paypal so if anything goes wrong your protected but besides from that there's my 6 years of business experience
          https://abr.business.gov.au/SearchByAbnHistory.aspx?SearchTe…

There's my activity on eBay for 3 years (if your not happy with 97.6% positve feedback then so be it)

My warranty was pretty clear I feel its written on the listing how many month's the warranty is for, the warranty policy can be found on the blog/faq

        • I get the patience part but I'm not kidding, it will require ENDLESS patience with some people here and I'm not really into that.
I got a Great deal, I don't need to walk every Tom dick and harry through the basic ABC's of buying online just so they can buy a cheap phone in limited stock. It will sell itself. I reply because I am trying to defend myself from the bile competitors and trolls spill out, The condescending represents the feeling I have towards those who run their own shops and don't declare it on here and the trolls who make posts but don't reply to me reaching them out asking for their order details.

So I get you, but I mean at the same time ehh.

  • OP's previous attitude towards customers is not exactly to the best standard. 97% is somewhat worrying for eBay feedback. Please take precautions if you do plan to purchase however.

    • Well I will say, whenever there's an issue people almost always complain, especially when its as easy as leaving negative feedback, when its good, they get their items and there's no issue, they move on with their life and ignore allot of calls to leave positive feedback, even when there was an @issue@ and their turned out to be none, or it was their fault or I go over and above to sort their problem out, they still forget this can be for a number of reasons, possibly because you never know when something might break and you want to hold as many chips as possible. I'm a seller and I often enough forget to leave feedback, also there's a time issue, but whenever there's an issue that's unresolved at the time, I will always leave negative feedback, so Id say 97.8 (almost 98% soon to be almost 99%) is pretty darn high.

It also suggests that once you actually deal with me you get what you paid for or a refund, whereas if your trolling my posts I'll troll back. So yea, I think I get where your coming from but this is where I'm coming from :)

There are also a guy on my old S6 post who got something, he posted on here there was an issue (without emailing us,) we got back to him and soon after reported it was fixed, It would be nice to see someone mention those things instead of me being mean to trolls. :)

  • -1

Dont buy it guys… you will regret it..

    • Hi mate, why do you think that?

  • Your face is haunting.

    • I only haunt the people that killed me.
I am a ghost with Wifi. You weren't involved in my mobile phone related death, were you?

  • phil, stick them on ebay and add the ebay 10% seller costs if people are worried about delivery ……. sell then with tracking and all will be good ……..

i’ve bought xiaomi off ebay and said australian stock …..just meant warehoused as xiaomi have no distributor so no au warranty, and return to au base for warranty which isn’t uncommon for grey stock and could take moths for repair …if ever …..
people buying grey should know not expect officeworks or tgg type warranty support ….it’s why it’s cheap.

In regard to this S6 for sale, this model SM-G9200 was produced for the China/Hong Kong market only and there are no Samsung factory roms for Australia so the region cannot be set to Australia for Samsung pay.

We found the same issue when someone on this forum was wanting to flash the Note 8 SM-N9500 with an Australian Samsung rom (there aren't any)

This won't affect the operation of the phone in any other way

    • At least you can upgrade to 7.0 on this. Checked Sammobile. But yes no Australia.

      • I don't know about that, I will test it in a day and get back to you on samsung pay.

        • Any update? Like to know if this phone will work with Samsung Pay and/or Google Pay in Australia. Thanks.

        • @ozbshops: Hi mate thanks for checking, my issue has been finding the SM-G9200 stock rom for the dual sim phone, not the SM-G9200 single sim, even sammobile was of no help :(

          Anyway, I'll keep searching.

  • Your pictures made me consider booking an appointment at Specsavers

    • maybee call your ISP instead? haha
I spoke with our CDN they said they are having some issues

  • Care the S6 soc in this is equivalent now to midrange socs like the SD636. So you might be better with a new phone from this year due to the upgraded feature set on new socs.

One thing that put me off was the lack of M10 profile decode on HEVC on the Exynos soc in the S6.

  • So did anyone bite the bullet and made a purchase?

    • What bullet are you on about mate??

  • In terms of bands, is this ok to use for 2 sims: lebara/Vodafone and also 2nd sim Aldi/Telstra, can someone provide expert advice to me please? Many thanks!!!

    • you can use both sims at once yes, both sims have the same bands, see the full list on willmyphonework.net

  • Hey Mate,

My friend is still waiting on her delivery #4047 for a Samsung Galaxy S6. She paid for express shipping and it's been nearly as month now. WTF is up?

You emailed her back saying you'd llok into it and that was the last we heard. She's on the edge of doing a chargeback, any comments?

  • Can anyone who has bought a phone here confirm that they have received it and it's all correct and as it should be?

    • My friends been waiting over a month. The guy has top notch communication skills (he replies to emails etc.) but fails at the admin side.

He keeps making excuses etc. and apperently sent it finally express, then lost the receipt with the tracking number and on and on it goes. If she hasn't got it in the next couple of days, she's just going to chargeback, I'll post back with how it goes.

      • "lost the receipt with the tracking" honestly sounds like complete BS. I'll be passing on this deal, thanks for your advice. I'd tell your friend to do the chargeback asap.

        • So it just arrived. It was what she ordered etc. It took longer then it should have and the express shipping was wasted money (since it took over a month to arrive).

You need to keep on him, but it looks like he does send them.

Also, it comes with a charger from HK, so you need to also get an AU plug charger.

        • @vbevan: Hi, sorry, can you PM me your order number and do you give me permission to discuss this order please? and @nmachine that's certainly not what I said :)

Anyway I'm happy to address proper questions and things directed at me but I mean for all I know your a competitor :)

And I'm glad Vbevan got it, please PM me your order number and I'm happy to give you a full indepth explination, the only reason why I'm a little bit suspicious here is because I don't (DO NOT AT ALL) have ANY stock with HK Chargers period so yes, please PM me and I'm happy to address any outlying issues
