Pretty ordinary return / spend compared to past deals. (thank zrmx for the Amex connect direct URL).

  • Past experience wrt product exclusions - the credit is typically received.
  • Mixed reports about the credit being rescinded (removed) if you return / refund the purchase.
  • Cash equivalent vPay or visa prepay cards etc seem hard to find these days, but gift cards for HN, iTunes, Google etc likely easy found.

    • What's this free shipping from Amazon US that your received with your Amex?

  • Thanks Op. Now what do I want (last time I bought the Google Wifi with this deal)..

  • Bought a $350 GC from HN today but didn't receive any confirmation…

    • -1

I was checking my Amex account and look like all my saved offers are gone. Anyone has the same problem?

      • +1

All my saved offers are gone too. I just purchased something using my AMEX card (one of the online promotion), did not receive any conformation as well….

    • Good luck, I bought a couple last deal. I got the first one but not the second unfortunately (different cards).

    • I spend $350 at HN, got cashback for it. I also dont see the offer in my other accounts too.

      Weird how it has disappeared!

    • Same here, HN transaction is still pending. Will follow up with Amex if no cash back once cleared…

      • +1

Received the cash back after few days, no email notification at all.

A fair few people (including myself) purchased Groupon vouchers from you and they were fake, is this karma?

      • Wow and to think being on OzBargain for 10 years there would be a sense of credibility.

        • +1

I don't know what's worse, that or the fact they he scammed us out of five dollars each.

        • @Lorindor: wow that's poor

        • @Lorindor:

Lol and he still has the audacity to post here normally like nothing happened

        • +3

          @montorola:

That's the part that annoys me the most, $5 is nothing but it's the principal.

    • Dude, you're a scammer.

It's a shame you complain about deals when you're ripping fellow ozbargainers off selling fake groupons!

Shame on you, hope you believe in karma.

Mate, I have some time this morning so I will try to explain what happened.
I was selling coupon codes that worked and people were happily using them until Catch made them expired. If you talk to the guys who purchased the codes, I have refunded all of them except:
        1. Someone who tried to scam me in the first place by not paying the agreed amount, ignored my messages but asking for a refund now because the code expired. Would you respond to them?
        2. People keep harrassing me but didn't even provide the method of refund. Who am I gonna send the money to?
Anyway, enough of that…It was only $5, I couldn't bother responding to some of those silly comments…got better things to do.

        • +6

So you have time to reply to my comment, but you can't address Lorindor above and give him a refund?

        • +4
          1. People keep harrassing me but didn't even provide the method of refund. Who am I gonna send the money to?

This is absolute rubbish, I only started 'harassing' you after you blatantly ignored me, you have not even bothered to reply to my messages or address the original post advertising the items.

How about refunding using the same method that I used to pay you?

You are a scammer and don't deserve to be a member on this site, and you thought you could get away with it because it's such a low amount.

  • If anyone needs to bulk register cards pm for my Python program :)

  • any idea if i can use my Amex to purchase furniture at Harvey and get the credits ?

    • As long as your card is resisted with the promotion, you will get your credits back.

      • Understand.
My question was around the terminals HN use to bill customers.

I think they got 2 different terminals in most of the stores, 1 for computers, electrical and other for furniture etc.
Was keen to know if both come along as "Harvey Norman" on the billing

        • +1

Yes, I can confirmed it. I brought furniture (lounge) and a toilet suite from HN, both using different terminals and I got my cash back from the last Amex promotion deal.

        • @Purple: Thanks Purple.

  • +1

Did anyone else not receive a confirmation email (I didn’t get it for the bank issued and Amex issued?) I called Amex and they said I was eligible, but maybe there’s a glitch in the system…

    • Same here. Just spent in store on 3 cards to make up for a bed purchase but did not get an email.

      • Hi mate
Just wondering whats the price range on beds at Harvey Norman?
        am after a king size
do they give it in boxes or assembled and delivered ?

        • I got a king size, Range is quite good but you need to negotiate a lot. They do come in boxes and you can pick it up yourselves or get it delivered for extra fee. With delivery there is also an option for assembly for an extra fee although they are not that hard to assemble

    • I purchased a phone today but didnt receive the email. Normally it's instant. Have you had the email yet?

      • Never ended up getting an email, but my credit came 3-4 days later!

  • If I purchase a $350 e-gift card via harvey norman's website will the $50 cash back come through?

    • Worked for me.

      • Did you have to buy 1 x $200, 1 x $100 and 1x $50 to make it $350? I couldn't find an option where I can choose 1 card of $350 worth, or where you can nominate the value of the card.

        • That’s correct bought three gift cards. It doesn’t matter for me.

    • Previous deals were hit and miss. Yes you'd get the credit but there was a good chance they would cancel the order and take ages to refund.

  • Fully subscribed now :( Tried to get the wife the offer too.

  • I am little bit confused if online purchase is excluded or not.
If I buy item onlin through Harveynorman.com.au, am I still eligible for cashback ? (providing card has been registered).
    Thanks

    • +1

      eligible.

I did and got the credits

  • +1

I understand deal may have reached maximum enrolment.

BTW, is complimentary card a standalone card to receive this reward?

    • Yes, it is. I've tried a number of times - both the owner's and complimentary/ additional cards are eligible on their own.

      • It's never worked me for. Never allows registration of the second card. Bank issued though.

        • It works if the card number is different, which it is for Amex issued cards.

  • if you haven't redeemed yet I just phoned amex and given guarantee from a supervisor that this deal did NOT exclude gift cards purchases instore at HN

these gift cards can also be used at Domayne and Joyce Mayne.
