    Reasonable question.

    Unlikely to explode. The background info says "Lithium Polymer". Certainly LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) is better regards safety and temperature than Lithium Polymer but 60deg should be no issues for LiPo.

    Of course, extended high temperatures and extended periods at full charge or close to full charge will degrade the battery life. Probably just degrade the cycle life not necessarily the peak current. Given cycle life is supposed to be > 500 for these batteries anyway then if you're doing 500 jump starts there's something else going on.

    I would suggest generally that all lithium batteries should be stored unused at 80% charge to extend the lifecycle. That means about 14AH for this battery (instead of 18AH) but peak current should still be fine.
