Logitech Craft Keyboard $227.05 @ Logitech Shop on eBay ($236.55 with Officeworks Price Match)

30
PULL5

This keyboard is overpriced even with the discount but I love my MX master mouse and this fits it perfectly.

It’s a solid keyboard and well built though not mechanical and the knob is a little redundant

It’s on eBay for $227.05 delivered
But I got officeworks to beat the $249 price at
http://www.logitechshop.com.au/logitech-craft-advanced-wirel…
And got it for $236.55

Figured an extra $9.50 was better in case i ran into problems and could drop it back at officeworks

    This keyboard is overpriced

Then why post it? This is a bargain website.

I'm sure you get this all the time, but you use bold too much.

      • It's a feature of my keyboard. Does this keyboard do bold?

        • +3

It's a feature of your personality.

I'm just trying to make clear that a well crafted sentence has no need for bolded emphasis unless your target audience is ADHD high schoolers.

          @Kill Joy:

It's a feature of your personality.

Nope, it's next to the Windows key…

        • @jv:

No, its a conscious effort you make to differentiate yourself. Reminds me of this kind of kid when I was in year 10: https://youtu.be/mTFUhkjPsBo?t=19s

This was not intended as a personal attack, but your belittling of this deal because its not for you is condescending and not in the spirit of ozbargain. Your unnecessary emphasis adds insult to injury.

And for the record I didn't neg you.

          That's just an opinion.

but your belittling of this deal

Nope, I was quoting the OP's own words…

        That's a bold accusation.

    • I guess everybody has a different perception of value.

    • +4

      lol
the only thing i really regret of not being active on here any more is not seeing gold from JV

      never change bro

  • "It’s a solid keyboard and well built though not mechanical and the knob is a little redundant"
.. kinda wonder where they get the value for this keyboard from then?

  • +6

the knob is a little redundant

    It's just the cold weather…

Over $200 and it's not even mechanical? Just… why?

    • +3

Because not everyone likes mechanical keyboards.
I for one, type faster on the chiclet keys than I do on Cherry switches. They require less energy for each keystroke.

      • +5

"Chiclet" keys describe the keycap. Mechanical describes the switch. You can have chiclet keys with mechanical switches. And no, generally mechanical key switches need less effort to type on. The real major drawback of mechanical keyboards - chiclet or not - is that they're more expensive.

Which leads me back to my original question - Over $200 and not mechanical? Why?

      • have you tried Cherry MX red switches? Or the Romer G linear? I'd describe them as effortless

        • I've tried some Cherry switches before but don't remember the colour.
I type at 98+wpm, I made a lot of noise and my wife effectively banned me from using that keyboard.

I might give mechanical keys another go the next time I change keyboards.

        • @tangcla: I second the Cherry MX Red switches. They're silent, have low actuation force (45g of force, compared to most membrane keyboards' 60-80g of force). But if you use it to type a lot, it doesn't have the usual mechanical switch tactile feedback letting you know you've actuated the key (if that's something you like), but that's also what makes it quieter.

Just a keyboard, plastic and silicone membrane.
It's hardly worth $50 on a good day.
Logitech are getting a bit crazy.
    Nothing special here.

  • Is FastEddie still running LogitechShop?

    • +3

His brother MediumPacedErnie has taken over.

    This is Oznobargain!

  • It's been a few years, since I've seen Logitechshop on OzBargain…

  • +1

Wait … $227 for a chiclet or membrane keyboard?

    Lel.

  • This logitech shop is not that logitech shop XDD.

  • This looks gooooood. Let me know when it gets down to some reasonable number.

Still love and use my k310. Need it wireless and with a scroller.

  • +3

It's a good keyboard, cheaper than usual, it's a bargain. I like variety post.

Please be kind to people who are trying to help. Would you prefer they don't post anything?

  • Would be a decent option for a Hackintosh with the split windows/mac keys.
