Hi All,

I went to reload/top up my Opal card this morning at Woolworths Town Hall and was surprised they are offering 10% off Opal Recharges.

When I asked the staff member they said "Opal is offering 10% off".
After my recharge had been processed he asked another staff member who advised "it must be a system error as we haven't got anything from Opal advising of this offer".

I'm not sure if this applies to all Woolworths so get in quick!

Also combine this with the 5% off Wish/Woolworths eGift Cards for further savings.

    This redrarted again just right now at Townhall. The ladies told me it was stopped and it restarted right now at 11:20am. I paid $90 for $100.

      I remember hearing/reading somewhere there was a daily limit for the Opal topup machines, I wonder if they Woolies Town Hall hit that limit and had to request more from Transport NSW?

        I'd imagine their limit must be the biggest one in the entirety of NSW considering it's right next to Town Hall with a constant queue despite newsagencies and top-up machines nearby

    I got $40 top up at 11.23am (have the reciept) and got a $4 discount, but then I tried to do two $120 top ups (at different registers) and was not given discount.

    I probably should have stayed on the one register I was at from the start (one of the registers on the Geogre Street exit).

    I tried to go back for the second $120 to the initial register, but the numbers in the line didnt not work out.

    I probably should have not paid for the two $120 top ups and just said I was not interested and walked off, but that would have raised suspicions. Doesn't matter much. It is 6 weeks worth of credit, and its on a credit card which I dont have to pay for 6 weeks.

    Meh, I saved $4, but it could have been so much more….

      Interesting to note that the register I got the $40 top up and discount was different to the one posted above (a different eptfos terminal ID on my receipt to the one shown above).

        I went to the second one that had a person on it.

        The first one had a very old white lady (like 60yr+ I think).

        The second one had a 20-30yr old asian lady

          Went to the second one from exit door George st, first one empty anyway. Yes Asian lady with glasses I think Philippines. No dice. No discount. $50 top up.

          I went through the register on the Geogre Street side and got the discount. Then I went over to the Park Street exit and didn't get a discount on $120. Then I went back to Geogre tret side and didn't get a discount on $120.

          When I was at the Geogre Street side the second time, there was a 30-40 yr old manager looking guy at one of the registers. Maybe he did something to stop the discount.

      Apparently there was a huge line up at the store. That would have attracted attention.

      I was not there between 7am and 9am.
