Hey guys, I have a few cards and was wondering which is the best to use to earn points on purchases in the post office or even for council and other government charges like sydney water?
I have a Amex explorer which I always use but recently realised it’s only 0.5 for government
I also have a Westpac altitude black Amex and mastercard as well as the Citibank signature and the anz frequent flyer black rewards card. Do they all have restrictions on government bodies?
I mentioned the cards i have in my post. I tried doing google searches on the other cards and government bodies and points but was unable to find much info on it. i think Anz may not give any points.
That is a lot of annual card fees.
2 of them are free due to my banking situations. 2 of them are new cards and so annual fee free for the first year and the last one i pay an annual fee on. I will probably be getting rid of 2 of the cards by the end of the year once i decide which ones suit me best.
Cancelling 2 cards? Wouldn't that affect credit rating quite a bit
Not sure, but seems like something a lot fo people do here with credit cards from what i have read. That is they jump on for the bonus points and then cancel it right after they have gotten the bonus points or at most wait a year and then cancel it.
Read the PDS yourself and work out what points you get per $1 spent. We have no idea what cards you have.
