hows the android tv part of it? laggy?
I'm going to venture a guess, it's bad.
It has lots of shadowing on the screen. The remote is truly awful to use. The android interface is laggy as hell and unintuitive. Tried to download the Stan app last night but I couldn’t because it’s only compatible with Android 5.0 and above. You’re better off flushing your cash down the toilet.
@93vector: what if i just wanted it as a display panel but hooked my own windows/android device to it with my own remote/controller?
is the screen ok? i never plan on using any built in smart feature anyways

When I inevitably discover my price and compromise my principles to buy a bargain from GerryGST again, I don’t believe it would be for an Akai TV.
These are just the cheaper chinese Rembranded to Akai so don't be fooled.

Kogan 65" is what, 850 at the moment?
Having just bought one, absolutely lovely. Great menus, simple and easy to use interface. Maybe be some very slight vertical 'bars' (for lack of a better, more minor word) of light but 100% hasn't impacted my enjoyment of the tv. Highly recommend
