Not as good as last years deal for $20 however still pretty good as it includes 12gb data this time around.
cost of Ipad comes out at $336 + $360 for the data over 24 months

    fyi, if you have an optus postpaid service, you can get the 6th gen ipad 32gb for $30 with 10 gb, or $35 for the 128GB. comes with free netflix streaming, spotify streaming, optus sport

    I was probably a bit too hopeful, failed at getting the BYO Mx (15gb/unlimited calls) for $29/month as other past users have on both my mobile services. Would have made an even better deal adding this along with the shared data.

    Anyone got any idea whether they will lower it the price to $20 deal that op writes about? I know that it's tough as to speculate but thought someone might have a better idea of flows etc. Just that this deal is good, but $20 is that price I've been waiting for ages for.

    I got the Pixel XL deal in March, and now I am not eligible for this deal. How silly is this?

    From Telstra's chat:

    Upon checking here, your existing postpaid account just got created 29/03/18. So the reason why your order got cancelled is because you are not yet an established customer and you currently have 1 mobile device limit and you have used that with your mobile. So in order for us to see if we can add another device on a plan, check with us by 29/09/18 because by that time, your account is 6 months old and that is the minimum required number of months to do a reassessment if we can further add service.

    So it is just that your account is not established yet and that your current device limit is 1 and you have used it on your mobile.

          Well guess what. I also had the same problem like you. I received the iPad on Wednesday, Telstra app only showing 1GB monthly data with my plan. I chatted to an online agent that night who promised me it will get fixed within 48 hours. Tonight after 48 hours, it still has not been fixed. I had to chat to another online agent just now and after transferred from I assume Sale team to Technical team, the bonus 5GB data has finally been added to my monthly plan. Such a pain. I think those agents are very friendly to chat with online, but not very good when it comes to actually doing the work :-/

    Managed to get 1gb +5gb bonus no questions asked for the iPad offer.

    Pressed the CSR the provide any additional bonus free that their system allows. Did mention I had Telstra foxtel, home phone, internet and mobile with them.

    Managed to get another bonus 5gb added to my account for free.

    In the end got 1gb + 5gb + 5gb for $29. This will be pooled with my AMWAY mobile plan.

    Like always, will probably need to speak with billing when the next bill arrives as things never go smoothly for me :(

    Best I can get out of them is:

    6GB data $29 for the 32GB model
    or
    6GB data $35 for the 128GB model.

    Hi can someone clarify whether this works with the $95 Cashrewards cashback? I asked them and they said that " "Cashback is only available when you take up a new phone on a 24 month Go Mobile Plus plan and handset repayment." The purchase of an iPad is not eligible for rewards with Telstra. "

    I got this response back from cashrewards customer service:

    "In response to your query regarding the cashback on post paid iPads, we can confirm that this is eligible to earn cashback through Cashrewards. However rewards will not be confirmed until the full payment has been made."

    I assume the last part means the first payment and not the entire amount of the contract.

    Having said that my question didnt specifically refer to Telstra but only the $95 cashback so they may have assumed ipads in general.

    They have updated their iPad plans. I really just need a wifi 128gb but keep trying to get the $34 plan at $30/mo with no luck otherwise keeping an eye out for good deals on the 128gb 6th gen wifi.

    In case this bites anyone else - I just checked what my data allowance was in the Telstra 24*7 app and it said 1GB even though I signed on the 2GB plan. After almost 1.5hrs on chat with Telstra, I now have 2GB - as it says I should on the paperwork I signed. Make sure you check!!!

    No luck getting the bonus 5GB of data on 3+ separate live chat attempts.

    As mentioned earlier, since they've added the "Peace of mind" data on the higher plans, there is no more data pooling with your existing mobile plan either which sucks

    The deal has changed - it is now $38 for the 32 Gig model, and $43 for the 128 Gig model.

    Also, data on both has increased from 2 Gig/month to 5 Gigs/month.

    Newbie here, I managed to sign up for the $44 Companion Plan (existing customer) for $34 a month - this is for the 128gb device with 5 gb data + 5 gb offered bonus. The live chat rep mentioned the the $44 plan will go back up to $49 tomorrow.
