[eBay Plus] Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2S 10,000mAh New Version (Melbourne Stock) $18.79 Delivered @ Gearbite eBay

3440

Greetings everyone, I believe this is the cheapest price so far offered for this power bank, cheaper than Hamza's post a few days ago.

This is the newly released 2018 model with Dual USB outputs, it is a bit longer than the previous model.

Gearbite is a very respectable seller, and will ship these quickly. This items is backed with a 1 year Gearbite warranty, situated in Melbourne. Their support team are excellent if you have any issues.

There are only a limited amount of black ones in stock, so if you want that colour I'd highly advise to get in quickly. Otherwise there are heaps of silver available. However, heaps of black are incoming on wednesday/thursday so could wait until then if you miss out.

Please Note: In order to get this price you need an eBay plus membership, a one month trial is available here thanks to syba if you don't already have a trial.

Also note, if you want more than one you can combine with PENNY5 :)

As always, enjoy!

  • thks needed one for an led light ….those tiny 500mah batteries don't last long.

    • Hi, I'm looking for led lights for my kids' rooms, do you mind letting me know where you got yours from? Are they desk lights? TIA

      • These aren't the worst, worth a look for ~$1. They're dimmable and adjustable (bendable). It's okay for reading at night, not sure how it'd compare to an actual desk lamp though.

Thanks doweyy, damn good deal once again.

Can anybody recommend a decent power bank with USB-C PD/QC3 option? (Unfortunately can't buy ZMI power banks anymore).

  • thanks got 1

  • +1

The previous deal is 2i. This deal says 2s. What's the difference?
Goolged. says 2i made in India.

    • It's the same model, xiaomi apparently officially call this the 2S, some sellers must have adopted the 2i.

  • Thanks Op, also, any recommendations for silicone case anyone?

    • +1

I have found some on eBay from HK/China sellers, but I don't know if they will fit, since there's another model of the 10,000mAh size with only one USB output

    • I just searched 'silicon xiaomi powerbank XXmah' in Aliexpress and go with the most orders/stars, and can leave a message during checkout to confirm model. I've got two and they were really good for under $2 :)

  • Does anyone know if this can do a Quick Charge output on both output USBs simultaneously?

  • Black is out of stock. Thanks for the great deal, doweyy!

    • +5

Check back a bit later in the week, black will be restocked :)

      • Will it be the same price though?

        • +1

Yep it'll be the same price, I'm actually in talks with the mods at the moment as to whether keeping this deal live as a pre-order is okay. On eBay it will stay live, just with a revised processing time until stock comes in :) Stock on eBay currently is only for stock within AU ready to be shipped, it'll be updated once this stock is depleted.

  • Bugger.Wanted black :(

    • +2

However, heaps of black and incoming on wednesday/thursday so could wait until then if you miss out.

    • +4

Joe: No way, no way. Tried it once, it doesn't work. You get four guys all fighting over who's gonna be Mr. Black, but they don't know each other, so nobody wants to back down. No way. I pick. You're Mr. Pink. Be thankful you're not Mr. Yellow.

    • +1

Black will be back again for in a second for pre-order, stock will get into australia on wednesday/thursday.

  • Do they have a USB Type C version yet?

      • +2

I'd go for that one if it did output over type c, a bit annoying it doesn't =(

      • More $$ indeed, i'll wait for that to be discounted lol

        • +1

Just note the Xiaomi Mi Pro 10000mAh Type-C powerbank, doesn't have Power Delivery, so it won't be able to charge laptops etc.

  • Thanks Doweyy. Bought one in silver

  • Anyone spotted a deal on the 20,000 ones ?

  • Good powerbank, even better price!

  • Will the eBay price guarantee works on this one? It's 20c cheaper!! And I can get 21c back (extra 5% back)

    • +1

Unfortunately the eBay guarantee doesn't apply to eBay listings :( Only certain other online stores.

      • fine lol!
btw is the model different from the last deal?
One ebay this one is a 2S, and the other one is 2i
Is one newer than the other?

        • +1

I just confirmed with Sam (the Gearbite rep) that they're exactly the same, however xiaomi officially call it the 2S apparently but I'm guessing other sellers have adopted the 2i :)

        • @doweyy:
          Thanks!! :)

  • Will these charge a nintendo switch?

  • I got one of these in one of the deals a month or so ago. Does anyone else find it charges your devices really slow? Unsure if mine is defective or it is just a bit crap.

    • +3

Nope, this charges all my devices at their max charge rate. Have you tried other cables? Usually that's the issue.

    • +1

Which seller did you purchase it from? I've heard there are actually a few fakes of these going around on eBay. For reference, mine charges my Pixel 2XL quickly.

      • +5

There are many fake in eBay now, when you verify your power bank, and you receive package show chaxunmi.cn, it will be fake. Mi.com or xiaomi.com is xiaomi official website.

        • far out! I bought one from Shoppingexpress eBay has chaxunmi.cn! I passed the check! Now I checked on Xiaomi.com, it says my code was checked twice! Not sure if it includes my current check or not, but that's suspicious!

        • Interesting. I bought from Gearbite, just got my item and see the box sticker chaxun.mi.com. Instruction in mandarin too.

Does it mean I got a fake one from Gearbite?

        • @birucool:Just clear this out. Please check your sticker has chaxun.mi.com which have mi.com at the back which is official. Please be aware chaxunmi.cn is fake website which put chaxun and mi together. Make sure have http://chaxun.mi.com at the back for chinese version or http://www.mi.com/verify for International version.

        • +1

@Jamesx: If you have chaxunmi.cn which is fake for sure. They put chaxun and mi together which is really confuse.Make sure have http://chaxun.mi.com at the back for chinese version or http://www.mi.com/verify for International version.

      • Curious to know as well, does it rapidly charge the Pixel 2XL?

      • I got it from Shopro from a deal posted on here. Sounds like I may need to go back to them and return it as being defective. It charges far slower than any other charger I have, tried it with a few different cables and all my cables work fine with the 5 other chargers I have.

        • If it was from Shopro then I'm more than certain it would be a defective model, I haven't heard of issues such as that from this power bank yet, so I'd get onto them and see what options they can provide :)

        • Hi, if item was defective, please contact us at [email protected]. We will follow up shortly.

    • +1

      Plenty of A grade fakes.
I got duped but got my PayPal refunded.

If I didn't know the full spec or didn't need QC I wouldn't know the difference on first look.

      • Aren't Xiaomi power banks supposed to come with verification codes?

        • Both my real one from gearbite and my fake on didn't have codes to verify.
They had the sticker but couldn't scratched.

        • @dasher86: how do you know the real one is real?

        • +1

          @lostn:
My real one can QC my phone.
It can charge two devices simultaneously.
          It can pass through charge.
          Other things I noticed:
Real charger came partly charged like my other versions, fake completely flat.
          Quality of USB ports.
Box on the fake said iPhone 6 real said 7.
It was a very good quality fake, even weighed the same.

        • @dasher86: The sticker scratches at the bottom now (unlike the picture on the verification website).

How do these stack up against Anker's powercore line. Going on an overseas trip, and I'm going to need a solid power bank. Is it worth spending extra for Anker, or just buying two of these?

    • +2

I use these daily (i have two so i can swap and go)

They're awesome. My first one lasted a year before the USB port went bad. But I always wrapped a cable around it so there was some tension on it at all times. It got used nearly fully every day, so minimum of 200 charge cycles. Still went really well. This was the older USB C and Single USB port version which I wish I could still buy.

Even so, being that my point of failure was the USB port, this new one with two ports should theoretically keep on kicking after one port dies (if ever.)

      I love them.

    • Anker Powercore are usually better, but you're also paying alot more for it.

  • +1

Just what I needed for my holiday!

    Thanks doweyy, I love you.

    Wystri Warrick.

    • +1

      Enjoy russia Wystri :)

      • +1

Thanks doweyy, and congrats on this awesome deal :).

I'm absolutely ecstatic to see Julio Iglesias concert =).
Wish I could pack Scab with me to keep warm…

        • +1

Thanks :) It sounds like an awesome trip you've planned up, could imagine your excitement!

  • Please tell me if this is the very latest that can piggyback QC charging while being QC charged? Or still the same?

I don't like the one that can't piggyback QC

    • You cant piggyback with QC for this one unfortunately, only normal charge speeds.

      • I'm confused after reading multiple comments about QC.

        So this powerbank:
        1. Supports QC input
        2. Supports QC output on 1 of the port, but not both simultaneously (?)
        3. Does not do QC pass through - pass through will be at normal charge speeds

is that correct? Or it doesn't do QC output at all?

        • Yes that's fully correct from the reports I have read. It does QC input, and QC output on one port from the knowledge I have gained through multiple comments on here from people who are much smarter than I am about these.

        • You are correct this version only does QC on one port only at any given time. If you start charging using QC adapter it will not output QC.

It's stupid I can't believe Xiaomi degraded their product. Their old model 2 years ago can QC both ways at the same time. So this pretty crap

  • Can you charge this from AC while simultaneously powering a device?

    • I don't think it supports passthrough charging

      • +2

It will pass through but only at slower rates. Maybe 600mah.

Either way, if you charge this and your phones through it overnight, you'll wake up with everything full.

        You will rarely have issues.

  • +3

    Thanks doweyy :)

Out of interest why are people so hung up on the black variant?

    • +1

From my point of view black is more discreet. From experience though black ones are more likely to be lost :(

    • +1

everyone knows once you go black…

  • +1

Anyone knows carry on bag or check in baggage for this power bank if we flight jetstar? Thanks

    • +2

There won't be any issues taking this power bank overseas, it's within the guidelines. Took my version 1 to Japan last year without issue on Jetstar.

    • +3

When bringing Power Bank on-board flights:
      - They need to stored in your carry-on baggage
      - They must not exceed 100Wh (Watt Hours) - Calculated by (mAh)/1000 x (V)

This should be fine to have in your carry-on baggage

      • So 20000mah x 5v is ok?

        • 20000mah/1000 X 5v = Exactly 100Wh

        • +4

It's actually 20000 x 3.7V because of the internal cell voltage. Which is 74Wh.

    • I always ask at check-in. They will tell you where they want you to put it.

    • I don’t know of any airlines that are happy with you putting it in checked luggage.

Carry on, ought to be fine.

  • Great price, so I couldn't pass it up.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for the post!
