Samsung LC32HG70QQEXXY 32" WQHD Curved 144hz FreeSync 2 HDR (600) $999 + Shipping @ Scorptec

A nice early discount on this monitor which has only recently made it's way to Australia. $100 cheaper than the closest competitor's price on StaticIce.

Full specs here: https://www.samsung.com/au/monitors/c32hg70/

Similar, but not quite as good, competitors are the new BenQ EX3203R (~$799) and the coming AOC AG322QC4.

Note to other buyers: Annoyingly, the one I bought this morning came only with a power cable and a HDMI cable in the box, i.e. no DP cable or USB upstream cable. I think this is an error, as according to the official product page it should at least come with a DP cable.

The US version seems to come with both a DP cable and a USB upstream cable (https://www.kitguru.net/peripherals/james-morris/samsung-c32…).

The Aus version is also missing the Color Calibration Report certificate that seems to come with the US model, though that does read as "N/A" on the Aus version specs list so perhaps that is intended.

I'll be contacting Samsung support to check all this out, so I would appreciate reports on package contents from other buyers. It would be a bit cheap if they decided to leave those out deliberately…

Cheaper at Computer Alliance with current eBay 15% off. $991.65 with shipping included.

  • Is there a large difference between this and the Alienware AW3418DW, or the Acer Predator X34(P)?

Apart from HDR, 144hz vs 120hz, FreeSync vs GSync, aspect ratios?

Not too sure what the difference between all these monitors are, the X34 is about $1k as well

  • BenQ has ultrawide 35" freesync 2 on PLE website. 1099 aud. I would very much prefer that.
