Magnesium Oil Product Description:

  • #1 ETHICAL BRAND FOR TOPICAL MAGNESIUM THERAPY — The body is said to absorb magnesium via the skin more effectively than it does oral supplements. So to increase your daily Magnesium intake, and general wellbeing, you can spray our magnesium oils. Transdermal magnesium therapy (TDM) is far more rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive tract and improving its bioavailability. 100% natural, 100% vegan, cruelty-free, not tested on animals.
  • WHY MAGNESIUM OIL – Easily assimilated by the body so you can't overdose with the oil. Your skin absorbs as much as it needs. Delivered through skin, it becomes directly available to muscular systems that require magnesium to function. Experts agree 80% of industrialized nations are Magnesium deficient. For pain relief or cramping use directly to the area. For stress relief use on base of neck or temples. For migraines and headaches, rub the oil on the forehead, temples and back of head.
  • ALOE MAGNESIUM OIL SPRAY FOR SENSITIVE TYPES – A highly concentrated Magnesium Oil spray, combined with the gentle and extremely healing juice from the Aloe vera plant. It is pure, safe, and effective for even the most sensitive skin. The Aloe vera makes our Magnesium Oil spray extra soothing, less itchy and absorbs quickly and safely into your skin. It’s easily used by massaging it into the skin or adding it to your bath water. For a great nights sleep, use on tops of feet before bed.
  • HAND PRODUCED IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — Our body and beauty products carry a unique combination of ingredients such as native Australian botanicals, therapeutic and health promoting minerals to leave you feeling, nurtured, nourished, polished and protected inside and out. Each and every product is packaged by hand, with the assistance of an Australian Disability Enterprise. By utilising their services we - and now you, can assist in providing job opportunities for a community with special needs.
  • WE BELIEVE IN TRULY GIVING BACK — We have committed to supporting women and children escaping domestic violence. We donate 25% of our profits to organisations that are actively addressing the issue of a severe shortage of crisis accommodation, by establishing new women’s shelters across Australia through Women’s Community Shelters. We invite you to join our community of ethical, natural beauty. Your purchase is not only an act of self-love but also a contribution to the causes we support.

Why Magnesium?
The mineral magnesium (Mg) has been linked to over 300 enzymatic reactions in our body, including muscle and nerve function, glucose control, cardiac health, nervous system disorders (stress, anxiety) and osteoporosis. An estimated that 60-80% Australians are actually deficient, a deficiency is often misdiagnosed because it does not show up in blood tests – only 1% of the magnesium is stored in the blood, 99% stored in the soft tissue of the body.

An increase in your daily magnesium intake may assist with some of the following common conditions:
- fatigue
- menstrual pain
- fibromyalgia
- muscle cramps
- restless legs
- sugar cravings
- stress management
- insomnia
- anxiety
- post workout recovery
- pain associated with arthritis, over-exertion

" The body actually absorbs magnesium via the skin more effectively than it does oral supplements."

Seem to defeat the whole purpose of "Skin - then again, "skin" does include the entire gastric tract lining so they are not even wrong.

I will say the outright bullshit is getting more blatant tho.

"Caim & Able has been built on a foundation of integrity"

You fell at the first hurdle at that mate.
-1 for spurious and farcical "scientific" health claims.

I am a biologist. Are you implying that this company has medical knowledge? IF so, they are being generous letting a Nobel prize in chemistry go to someone else.
        The claim is arrant nonsense.

@barghunt: And this was via dermal absorption?

Yes, An imbalance of magnesium has metabolic affects. So does a shortage of iron. A proposal to fix such a shortage by hammering rusty nails through your feet would at least be presenting the iron in a bio-available form with the added advantage of providing a mechanism for it to reach the bloodstream.

Rubbing this stuff on muscles would also have a "theraputic" affect - that of rubbibng a cream in. Were your skin to "absorb" magnesium, MAg wheels would have to come with an MDS and an instruction to only touch using gloves.

        • @terrys:

A proposal to fix such a shortage by hammering rusty nails through your feet…

          I wish i'd written that.
          I'd have made me proud.

You're welcome to your view Terry, but for many Australians, a firm who donates a large portion of profits direct to charity and employs an above-average portion of employees with disabilities, so far, has been seen by many as having high integrity.

    • So are you.
You are not, however, welcome to make up your own facts.

Contrary to my existing preconception, it seems magnesium supplements might actually be medically useful:

    https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Magnesium-healthProfession…

Basically: Magnesium is important, a lot of people don't get enough magnesium, dietary supplements do provide magnesium.

Note that topical absorption isn't mentioned in the article and likely hasn't been well evaluated.

Absorption of magnesium from different kinds of magnesium supplements varies. Forms of magnesium that dissolve well in liquid are more completely absorbed in the gut than less soluble forms [2,11]. Small studies have found that magnesium in the aspartate, citrate, lactate, and chloride forms is absorbed more completely and is more bioavailable than magnesium oxide and magnesium sulfate

      • Oh yeah true, the link doesn't go into rates of topical absorption. I'm not much for supplements anyway - I see it as: You can take a dozen different tablets/oils/etc, or you can add a (leafy) salad to your diet a couple of times a week. Salad just seems easier. Only supplement I sometimes take is vitamin C when I feel a cold coming on. That is easier than eating lemons, which I've tried. Don't recommend it - apparently bad for your teeth.

  • Thanks for sharing.

Agreed, whatever method that can increase consumption to the required level is a step in the right direction.

    • Recipes do that, and banana isn't too bad. If, OTOH, you are claiming to be providing a nutritional supply via skin absorption provide a peer-reviewed citation.
You appear to be claiming theraputic benefits from your product. Australia has plenty of snake oil.
