Received the following email from MealPal:

Our best Refer-a-Friend offer EVER!!

• Every new pal who signs up gets $75 Coles gift card
• Every pal who refers gets $75 Coles gift card per referral

T&Cs:

• The Refer-A-Friend bonus applies to new MealPal customers who sign up through a qualified current member's unique link.
• If the terms are met, the current member ("referee") and the referred member ("referred") will each receive an e-gift card via email within approximately 30 days of the conditions being met.
• Both the referee and the referred will be required to verify their identity via a unique mobile phone number to qualify.
• To qualify for the promotion, the referee must be either
  i.) an active paying MealPal member on a 30-day cycle, and must renew for a subsequent paid 30-day cycle on one of the noted plans;
  ii.) an active paying flex member who consumes at least 6 meals in the 30 days following the referred member's sign-up date and who renews for at least one more flex cycle following the current cycle.
• Additionally, to qualify for the promotion, the referred must select the 12 lunch, 20 lunch, 10 dinner, or 15 dinner meal plan and complete two consecutive paid 30-day meal cycles.

  Has anyone ever received a gift card from Mealpal? I supposed to receive a gift card since April but until now I still haven't received it yet. Emails them many times but always said will send out this week but never happens.

    Yep I received one referrer $50 Coles gift card about 2 weeks ago. The referral was from last month.

    Same thing happened to me last year … tried to follow up, but got the usual run around about unexpected delays, etc. I eventually gave up.

  Minimum cost 12x $7.5 = $90. Not much of a bargain to sign up. Basically paying for your own meal.

    Actually, $7.5 is for 20 meals/month which gives $150/month. So the cheapest cost is actually $8 x 12 meals = $96/month.
    However, the T&Cs say that you will need to sign up for an additional month in order to receive the giftcard.

    So if anyone wants to sign up, I would suggest waiting for a better deal to come by. E.g. something that says '50% off your first month' or 'buy 1 month, get the next month free'.
