  • Sweet.
Just picked up a 1 month old Fujifilm X-H1 body for $1700.
Excited for some Fuji IBIS action!

    • +1

Fuji IBIS? Is this some kind of mountain-dwelling bird in Japan?

      • i was thinking IBIS hotel actions

      • Even more localised than that - just Mt Fuji

        • taking photos of the ducks at mt fuji?

      dm01:
      Yes!
A very and rare one indeed, was though to be extinct until recently. The only more elusive is the mythical Canon IBIS!

      • +1

Canon's philosophy is to stabilize the lens, instead of the body. You need to buy an IS lens if it is required. For better or worse, it's just a business decision.

        • +1

yeah thats why i choose camera with IS inside the CAMERA not LENS.
save tons of $$$ in the long run.

        • @dragonindespair: I actually shoot with Canon and prefer having it in the lens rather than the camera.

    • +7

When I had my 18th birthday, my parents threw me a big party and all my friends came. When I turned 19…well, nobody cared and there was no party.

      • hhahahahahah. so we have to wait until 30 now?

        • +4

          21st maybe

        • @Steptoe:
true. Cant wait for 2 years.

Glad to see non-plus members all rejoice. But please don't complain when there's special deals for plus members. We did pay the membership

    • If the deals with Plus are in addition to non-Plus members deals then there is no reason to complain. However the Plus membership results in slowly phasing out non-Plus deals, then it is a cause of concern. It is still early days but lets hope it doesn't come to this.

  • why was i not able to use the code on this :(

  • SO…. this is $75 on the ITEM price.. and not the shipping.

BUT - if you order something from the UK that also includes a shipping value - the GST is applied on BOTH - BUT this discount only applies to the item price.

  • does this expire tonight at midnight?

  • So GST free purchases for items outside Aus? What a joke

    • +4

      welcome to Australia!

      Go Harvey Norman! Go!

  • Hi I just ordered $585 US (just the item value only - postage and gst excluded) items shipped to Aussie, but only get US $18 discount. Ordered confirmed, but not sure what's with the low discount. Thoughts?

    • Call eBay just now and confirmed it's a wrong discount. They gave out voucher for the difference.

    • Do you have more than 10 items, as it will only give you the discount on the first 10 items in your order.

      • Hi yes more than 10 items. Didn't realize they have this rules. Anyway, good to know. They gave me voucher of the difference anyway.

        Thanks.

  • Anyone know what time on the 20th it finishes?

  • +2

When does this offer expire? I can't see it on the t&c link which is dead

    • usually 23:59

    • +1

      confirmed on cashrewards

  • Just made an offer on an item. If they accept it tomorrow can I still use the coupon?

  • What's the best way to avoid double payment of GST and best payment method to keep the amount minimum.

Last week I bought a transparent cover for a mobile from ebay with free shipping for US $3.99. In the cart it added another US $ 0.40 as GST. Then I ordered it and payed from PayPal.

Next day I saw 2 transactions in my CreditCard that's linked to PayPal. AU $ 6.49 which after converting the total amount US $ 4.39 to AUD (Still a terrible rate 0.67 USD for 1 AUD).

The second transaction with description - "Ebay AU Gst (via PayPal)" AU $ 0.65

This means I have been charged the GST twice for the same transaction.

So effectively I have payed AUD 7.14 for an item bought for USD 4.39

Have anyone else experienced this double charging of GST? The whole intention of introduction of this tax called GST is to stop double charging the consumer. However end consumer is being double charged if you use PayPal to pay for anything you buy in ebay.

    • Credit card fees maybe?

I looked at my purchases and Paypal did the right thing. 2 transactions one for item and one for GST, at the correct amounts.

  • I have $79 worth in my cart and it says "We can't apply this code until you reach the minimum order total." Some are from overseas, I thought it was storewide?

  • Grabbed a GTX 1080 Ti second hand for $720 :)
