If i order this do i also get a free copy of Horizon for PC?
Please advise as I recommend all buyers make sure they are eligible for the free copy

    • +1

No you won't receive the PC copy since it is a disc only version and they don't provide a digital code since that would kinda defeat the purpose of having a disc version. The only way to get the PC version is to purchase it digitally from the Microsoft store or 3rd party sellers as with any digital games that support Xbox Play Anywhere e.g. Forza, you can play the digital copy on either platform with a single purchase. Probably the best way to play Forza on PC is just using Game Pass.

or subscribe to game pass, you'll get it on both

Yes, if you get the $77.89 digital Play Anywhere version of Forza Horizon 4 from CDKeys (link in the description above).

You also get to share game saves, dlcs, achievements, etc https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/xbox-play-anywhere

  • This might have been priced matched with jb hifi which was tues only,i was going to grab this but bigw has ut until 7th oct i believe for $67 so amazon is more.
Combined with egift card will be even cheaper.
I just want to be sure i get a sealed copy and not some silly ex display which i can't stand.
Amazon seems to always price match jb but i bet they dont price match bigw

    • True. Problem with Big W I've had a lot in the past is that they often have no stock, and it ends up costing me more in time and petrol money to keep checking or ringing around which store has a copy.

If your local Big W has a copy then it's worth saving the $2, but if not then it may not be worth the hassle.

      • You can normally tell who has stock online with $2 saved and futher 5% i think its worth it. I have asked amazon to price match maybe you can all do same its only in there interest as they might get more sales.

With the 5% it would make it more than $5 cheaper at Big W.

But I have never been able to get an accurate check on stock levels at Big W online with popular titles (usually says to ring to confirm if they have low stock).

There were a few times I rang to check and they checked the computer said sure we have 2 in stock, only to go there to find out that their computer stock levels do not match the shelf count as there are none on the shelf (might be something to do with Big W staff putting copies aside for friends or customers - they would put one aside for me for 24 hours whenever I would ring, which meant that even though their computer said they had copies once you get there there may be none on the shelf).

One thing I always do with Big W is I always ask to be put through to 'Entertainment' and get them to physically check the shelves for a copy (and if they have one get the person's name and ask them to put it aside for me).

    • What egift cards will lower the price further ? wish gift cards ?

      • Yes.

  • I pre-ordered fh4 last week, got a email saying g the shipping date won't be till the end of this week or early next.
Kinda disappointed by Amazon as the game was realeased over the weekend

  • I'm still debating if this finally makes it worth pulling the trigger on a game pass subscription.

Want a digital copy anyway so can be played on more than one Xbox at home.

There is a free 1 month trial.
And you can use Microsoft rewards to get another month free.
Then you decide whether you want to continue (it's easy to opt-out).

    • Free trial, MS rewards to get more vouchers (can take a while). There will be more deals. We've had free GamePass for a month by signing up to MS Rewards, $1 December deal, $3 deals, the MasterCard deal etc…

The version in GamePass is PlayAnywhere version so it works on PC running Windows 10 as well.

Once you signed up, just play as many games as possible. There is no real need to be on GamePass constantly unless there are so many games in there you really like to play constantly. You don't collect games like XBox Live Gold. The list of games are chosen by Microsoft.

    • Got the $2 game pass deal, playing it last night on my PC it looks very good.

  • One thing to consider for those who want to play RDR2 on day one and are getting it delivered, is that release day is a Friday, so you might want to consider a local brick and mortar store if you definitely want it for the weekend.
