Brisbane Electricity Rates

Just about to rent a small 2 bed unit in Brisbane. Can anyone recommend a good power company who has the cheapest peak usage rates.
Thanks in advance

The government designed the electricity system to remove as much money as possible from you.

(And even if they didn't that has been the outcome - in that case they're just bumbling idiots. But they're not bumbling idiots, most of them are lawyers.)

Using a website created by the government called "Energy Made Easy" that claims to solve a problem that the government knowingly created is not "helping yourself".

If you actually want to help yourself you might consider voting for the Greens who claim they want to nationalise the electricity system again now that privatisation has proven itself to be an intentional disaster designed to impoverish the nation.

Ummm yeah, nah. My missus works in that sector and knows a lot about where all these costs are coming from and it's green policies both local and global that are (mostly) causing the high prices. They will only get higher as more and more coal plants go offline and solar continues to be subsidised. The greens have always been AGAINST cheaper power on an idealogical basis and as they hold the balance of power in the senate (for now) then it's them (as well as the noted government ineptitude and globalisation) who are causing the problems.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for alternative natural energy but it has to phase in gradually over decades as the technology progresses and not because some tyrants on the other side of the world want to be carbon trillionaires. Also is cannot be at the expense of cheap power today because even if alternative energy does become large-scale viable in the future, prices RARELY ever dome back down once they have gone up.

There's an election next year for everyone's sake…don't recycle the greens!
