Would this be the best price for aus stock for the s9 64gb?

    • cheapest i've seen but wouldn't rule out that possibility

      • -1

Other than that eBay flash sale where they had them for $799

        But this is damn close

    • -3

I just bought an S9 the other day, price match from OW for $835.

      • With what?

        • Yes, please explain…?

          • -3

@Krazyy: Why should I when I get negged by the usual idiots. It was in a deal that was posted recently.

Make my day and neg this post too, morons.

            • @Abbi: There will always be 'the usual idiots'. Please don't waste your energy getting emotional on a deals website.

              • -1

@desert eagle: Damn, looks like you got a neg today. I promise I won;t get emotional.

    • -1

It's only going to get cheaper as S10 in a few months

      • I would personally wait til the S10 comes out.. The S9 isn't that great of a step up from the S8 imo..

        • -1

          February I heard.

        • +2

Quite like the stereo speakers, a huge step up over the S8, the performance and smoothness is also a substantial step up. Otherwise I agree. If I was choosing between S8 or S9 though, I would pay extra for S9.

          • -1

@onlinepred: The stereo speakers are really incredible, they've done a great job on that.

          • +1

@onlinepred: I have both. Literally the same. There is no performance or smoothness issues that warrant the extra the cost imo atm. LIke gaming and surfing is smooth on both devices for me.

            • @Feeblely: I noticed it instantly. I got work s9+ and S8+

              • @onlinepred: Yeah I have both the plus models too. Dunno, maybe you got the Exynos variant?

                • @Feeblely: Both local versions. Maybe your s9 is buggy? I factory reset both regularly as I use them for testing. Installing apps, loading apps, uninstalling apps, UI responsiveness consistency is all marginally better in s9.

        • Definite step up from note 4 :)

      • Pretty much good idea to wait for next year if you can in general, next Snapdragon/Exynos will be 7mm die shrink so more power for higher efficiency, plus neural processing unit.

  • For the s9 64gb it seems only gold is available for the $839. Others colours for the s9 64gb model seem to be sold out.

      • -1

        From the Original Post.

I managed to score my wife a samsung galaxy s9+ 64GB rose gold (confirmed with Samsung that it's AU stock) for ~$950 about 2 months ago using https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/390433 and https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/390293.

  • Im waiting for the deals to come out with the new Google Pixel soon - wife needs a plan (currently has a Xiaomi 4X) and I expect they will have similar sales like they did for the S9 when it came out?

  • -1

    Has always been February

  • -2

can we also redeem JBL headphones with these?

    • -1

Can't read a few comments above?

    • -1

“Samsung Online Store” means any online portal operated by Samsung in Australia through which eligible
consumers or businesses can purchase the Participating Products, including Samsung’s e-store in Australia (accessible at the URL https://shop.samsung.com/au) and the Samsung Education Store. For the avoidance of doubt, the Samsung Online Store excludes the website known as the ‘Samsung Staff Portal’ and the websites known as ‘Samsung Enhanced Partner Portal’.

If you are a student, stuhtb below has pointed out that you will get the same discount, plus the bonus JBL headphone.

  • Thanks OP. Got an s9 and claiming TRS so brings it down to $762.

    • I hope next year before I go oversea I can get that phone for that price :)

      Wishful thinking.

  • +1

Just to clear up any confusion, this is only available for staff members?

  • +3

If you're a student, this is also available on the Samsung Education Store. Here's a screenshot

  • A Note 9 deal would be good, but tempted to take up the S9+ deal as it feels better in the hand than the Note 9 and I am currently using a cheap android handset (OPPO F1s) after returning my iPhone XS Max.

    • What was wrong with iPhone Xs Max?

      • Could not hold a signal and data speeds. Tried more than one handset, even installed beta OS and Apple had me install a baseband logger. Telstra monitored service for ten days and were adamant it wasn't my service.

  • I can't see any mobile deals when I login?

  • -1

    Black S9+ 256 only 10% discount

    • -1

      Which store?

      • Every colour for S9+ is discounted by 30%. Only Black was left unchanged at 10%. Samsung simply trying to get rid of unpopular colours.

  • +1

Thanks, was so impatient with finding a deal for S9+ for under $1000, and I finally bought one today!
I hope a deal comes out for the Note 9, as my dad has been wanting one for a while now.

  • Thanks OP, when I logged in with telstra email, I got the S9+ for $849 & includes jbl headphones.

    • -1

It seems the discounts offered on Telstra store and NAB store are different. Also the available items are different.

      • -1

Ex: Gear S3 Classic on Telstra is 399 whereas on NAB it is 299

    • -1

I was told this phone is locked to Telstra network… Did you validate this? Also they clearly indicated on the portal that JBL is not applicable.

      • -1

They will send a Telstra model

      • -1

Just got this deal off my friend who works at Telstra and my phone plan is with Optus. Works fine for me.

        • -1

Can you confirm if it's the s9 or s9 plus for $849?

          • +2

@Lastman1: S9+ 64GB in Gold (friend said Gold only available for this deal) for $849. As for the promotional JBL headphones, filled out the forms for redemption and we'll see how that'll go.

        • +1

Thanks for confirming. That makes it a great deal. The chat person I dealt with must be a newbie.

      • +1

The phones are not locked to Telstra, however they do have a custom install of the Samsung Android OS on the handset. For example, carrier handsets boot up with a carrier logo (happens quite fast). Apart from that there is no real difference apart from possibly waiting a little longer for the security updates.

    • -1

No headphones for purchases on the enhanced partner portal.

      • -1

        is this confirmed?

        • -1

nevermind i read the T&Cs which say its excluded

  • +1

Had enough of Samsung. They make excellent phone hardware but they lack the software and customer support. Try calling the Sydney Samsung store and you will get diverted to Manila.

  • -1

    Why is S9+ 64GB $944.30, cheaper than the S9 64GB $1,079.10?

    • -1

It depends on the phone color chosen.

  • -1

Coles link not linked or expired?

  • -3

Anyone else bought S9+ on Telstra store and successfully using Non-Telstra sim?

    • -1

Can confirm works on non Telstra sim. Tried Optus and Lycamobile

      • -1

        Thanks mate.

  • -2

Any idea if Officeworks will beat this?
