Packable Rain Pants - Oddness

Did anyone else here buy the Packable Rain Pants when they went on sale for $15 with the Packable Rain Jacket? They're both great value and I use the jacket all the time, but only needed to use the rain pants the other day and noticed something odd. If you wear them with the label at the back as expected, the small overlap flaps on the pockets point the wrong way - towards the front - as if the pants are on backwards. This would make me think the label's been sewn into the wrong side in a manufacturing error except for the fact that the velcro tabs at the ankles tighten towards the back as they should when the label's at the back. So have the pockets just been designed the wrong way around? I realise one is not actually a pocket but an access zip to the pocket you would have inside, but its flap is still facing the wrong way, at least on mine. Perhaps I have an unusual pair and they're not all like this.

I would assume it is designed that way, to keep the rain out I am guessing.
