  • Woke up to this as I launched my Battle.net
  • So if you haven't got it - download and install Battle.net / Blizzard App
  • It'll be listed under the gift tab at the top.
  • Click Claim
  • Chews 80GB of hard drive space (now where's that SSD deal when I need it)

Bungie and Activision have announced that the full Destiny 2 base game for PC is now a free gift for all new players on Blizzard Battle.net. For the first two weeks of November, anyone who does not already own the PC game will have the opportunity to claim it as a gift through their Battle.net account.

Destiny 2 will be free to claim and download from November 2–18, 2018. New Battle.net accounts created after 19:00 CET on November 2, 2018, will need to enable Blizzard SMS Protect before claiming their free copy. Destiny 2 PC is redeemable from the Battle.net gift page.

    It is a pretty decent PC port too. Grab it while you can. I bought it at launch, it has its problems but for free? Absolutely.

    My download speed is all over the place right now downloading this, seems alot of people are taking them up on this offer.

    Can't even remember the last time i didn't get max speed from the launcher.

    So I'm downloading at 4.3 KBps (not MB) - is anyone else getting these kind of speeds?

    Are their servers just getting smashed?

    edit 270KBps now - still slow but at least it will arrive by next week.

    This is going to sound like a strange comment but the Destiny 2 menu soundtrack makes me cry everytime I listen to it.. man Bungie really know how to pull those heart strings.

    I have not heard a better soundtrack or feels since maybe James Cameron's Avatar or well early Halo.

    Then again I have not played past Halo 2.

    I thought this game was going to be very generic and it is in someway but because it has Bungie behind it it is a beautiful generic shooter.

      The game is pretty great guys just try it for the soundtrack alone. It won't be Halo level great but still awesome and honestly pretty wonderful.

      I remember hearing that the game scales very well back when it released so you may get away with running it okay on potato settings.

    Claimed, trying to play though and the damn thing hard locked my PC twice, then 3rd time finally gave me the error code 'broccoli'.

    Seems a common problem with no real fix from a search, bloody hell Bungie, no wonder you had to give it away for free!
