Nice price I guess. Thanks OP. Anyone used this product before and can comment on the quality?

  • I'm keen to give these ones a try if price drops a bit, can only buy via US at decent price it seems. I have bought the "gardenspot" lights waiting on them to come still.

Should work with Alexa/Google Home (with a Hub - Echo Plus in my case). Probably US plug but the DC converter is up to 240V so can just change the plug.

Seems like a decent deal… and its ability to take 8 additional lights means the transformer isn't undersized and prone to burning out.

I'll give them a go, thanks BA!

  • Do anyone know if they are LED's? Nothing mentioned in the advert or I have gone blind.

    • +2

In manual. LED's of various types, some specific to brand or non-replaceable(deck lights). MR11 and MR16.

    • +2

Most likely LEDs. They say 2W each and 4x lights so 8W total usage. 750 lumen per light. Try and find a halogen that does that!! My 2 cents.

  • Where do people normally connect these to power, just a normal outdoor powerpoint or get them hardwired by an electrician?

    • +2

Definitely not hardwired. An outdoor powerpoint by an electrician that you then soft connect to and have complete control over. If you're clever, you can ask electrician to wire a switch to the external powerpoint so you can control outside lights/pond pumps etc via a switch inside the house. I have that type of set up for the Christmas lights out front. An external powerpoint with internal switch.

      • Great idea
