They also say the Battery is not covered by warranty.
All the brand new products come under manufacturer warranty. And all the Australian products have 2 year manufacturer warranty under Australian consumer law. You have to contact manufacturer customer care centre to claim your warranty.
All accessories and bonus gift are not covered by warranty. e.g Battery, earphone, cable, carry bag etc.
It is just indicating Apple won't give you 2 year manufacturer warranty for battery by default. But, Apple store could be nice and still replace it.
You only get 7 day warranty from the seller (for DOA). After that, it is go to Apple store pretty much.
