When is GTA VI coming out?
No one is really sure, it’s hard to put a specific date on it. Looking back on past release frequency can be a bit of an indicator, but online has changed the dynamic a little bit IMO as developers can stretch out their revenue stream from old releases that still have an online following.
At a guess I’d say somewhere around 2020 at the earliest. I really don’t think it’ll be released next year, and it’s probably not even going to be 2020, but who knows.
Past says they pumped out a game a year for years and each was greater than the one that preceded it.
Past also says it took them 5 years to make GTA V.
Past is no (profanity) indicator for Rockstar.
Yeah, I mean that was SOP for the industry it seemed, I guess. Online, the success of GTA 5 has shored up R* revenue in that they don’t need to be pushing out releases year after year to remain relevant, and presumably profitable.
The longer Rockstar hold back the release, the more folks will be jonesing for it. RDR2 has been a big success, critically popular, profitable (?) I assume, and has also laid to rest any concerns over the studio’s ability to maintain quality releases time after time.
If I was in charge @ Rockstar I’d be wanting to draw out GTA online and RDR2 online for as long as possible, taking as long as necessary to ensure that GTA 6 is another hit. They did hold back RDR2 release, I presume to ensure it was solid and it’s been fairly popular so I’d just as soon assume that they’re going to take their sweet time with the next GTA.

All Rockstar have said is it won't be 2019.
The single player game is superb although it didn't top GTA:SA or VC for me.
I didn’t like the SA as much but VC was great. GTA III though was the game that changed everything.
Think im going to take up the JB 2 for $40 deal on this. Anyone recommend a decent game with value to get along with this?
Depends what you already have, but look online or instore for the 2 for $40 range.
Any of the Uncharted 1-3, or 4, Last of Us, Ratchet & Clank, Bloodborne, and I think Shadow of War just got added to the promo.
