    • Interesting - I guess it depends whether or not you take 25% off the full price or 20% off full price and then a further 5% off the reduced price. I don't know which way JB calculate it.

      • It was 5% of the full price on my Blu-rays i bought last time. Net discount was 20% standard offer + 5% coupon = 25% in total of the shelf price.
Same principle should follow if their systems haven't changed in the past 10 days.

    65’ is so 2017.

Bought the 55’ of this tv and like better than my new Panasonic oled

I’m buying the Sony 75’ this Xmas as you can’t substitute size.

    • I just purchased this from HN.
Within the hour, they marked the item as shipped.

    • So more expensive….?

      Same tv right?

Just got x90 75 for $3690 from good guys

    • Which Good Guys?

      • The new one on princess hwy. springvale

  • All I see is full priced Sony's online, even at Checkout?
    Anything wrong?

  • Bugger. No delivery option.
800km round trip to closest JB store

  • Sony A9F OLED 65' down to $5200

    • +2

Unless you really want Android TV I would suggest a plonking down a bit less cash for a LG C8 or E8 at 65".

    • +1

Sony A9 series.. also known as greatest rip off in TV business
there is no way this TV is $2000 better than the LG C8

  • +2

Potentially extra 5% if purchase gift card, reduce it further.

    • I am still not sure on the extended warranty
JB +$150 for 5 years and HN +$900 for 5 years (Including the manufacturer)

HN guy says that they will replace the unit while JB will fix this unit.
I know Australian consumer laws have protection etc and there are other threads talking about it.

  • 150$ for 5 years is really good. I just got standard 1 year since good guys wanted 399$ for 5 years or 329$ for 3 years

Also don't forget your $10 voucher for the saved receipts deal from the other day.

    • Oh yes, thank you for the reminder, awesomeness :)

  • For anyone wondering, I went on Harvey Norman live chat and asked if they would match the JB price with an extra 5% off - they said no they wouldn't as it's considered a "member benefit". I was planning on matching it and paying with a couple of Amexs for an extra $100 off, but no such luck.

    • I went in store and they matched it.

  • already started

  • Ready to purchase, how do I apply my 5% extra discount for signing up?

  • +1

It's started! And I've bought it.. thanks to the OP! Been eyeing this TV for months now!

If you haven't received an email, you can't "re-sign" up with your old email, just use another one. You'll receive a code in a minute. Just enter the code below the barcode into the coupon section.

    • Same! Thanks OP. Extra 5% was nice too. (I also had to sign up with a different email address to get the code)

  • I got it also after eyeing this since launch yay. I’ll be getting my deposit back today from a store that couldn’t price match unfortunately. I’m glad I didn’t pay in full.

  • Thanks OP!

  • This looks cool. might either get Super UHD LG or this.
Something about Sony using Samsung panels kind of turns me off them.

    • LG TV's use IPS panels which have 300 nits brightness to this Sony's 1000 nits. Contrast is 1000:1 to Sony's 6000:1. So if you want good HDR, VA Panels are so much better. The only thing is watching on a sharp angle you can lose some colour and brightness. Sonys panels are supplied by 3 different makes and Samsung is the least found in their high end range. Even Samsung sets don't always have Samsung panels!

I just tried to use the good guys 30 price promise website and it claims my 2 week old receipt is not "No approved retailer found for this docket."
Customer care line is finished for the day, and in store wont help. Great service

  • Huh…still confused by the 5% Email subscription……when does it apply? When you go to buy or if you already subscribe? Need to know ASAP for obvious reasons.

Dammit….closest is SOLD OUT (for ClickNCollect). 45klm to nearest. I live in a unit….concerned about delivery and also it's $59 delivery.

    • Whole of Northern Sydney SOLD OUT

  • I just got back from JB, managed to buy the 75x90f for $3707 including delivery. Spewing I didn't have prepared jb hi-fi gift cards (5% off through AGL) because it would have put the price to $3521.65! Still happy with what I paid though.

    • Was refunded $80 today so that brings my paid price down to $3,627.

  • +1
    • Wow, I bought online at the original special price. Do you think JB will refund the difference?

      • I bought mine instore and was just going to re-order online and cancel my original order but I can't get my hands on another 5% off code… Would also like to know if they will reimburse the difference.

      • I was refunded $80 today so that brings my paid price down to $3,627.

      • I was refunded the full difference in price. Good on you JB HiFi.

  • Can you get a 75 incher into a ford
    territory?

    • If you stack it on its roof you can…

Here are the measurements of the box

      Dimension of Package Carton (W x H x D)
      Approx. 1782 x 1080 x 198 mm

  • +1

Can still get it from Sony store until 1159pm approx same price with 2% cashrewards and Amex $50 deal.

    • Good find. Amex plus shopback would make the eventual cost less than this deal as shopback is 4% back from Sony.

    • Link? Please

  • Has anyone that ordered online with delivery got email confirmation yet?

    • Yes, I got confirmation for the 75" immediately.

      • I got emailed: pending…

  • +2

Managed to get a 55" from HN Chadstone VIP night tonight for 1449. With Amex offer down to 1249!

  • Can anyone post how much you pay for the extended warranty at jbhifi?
User218134 post $150 for total 5 years warranty (2.5y extra on top of current warranty that jb provides)
I was told, it will cost $289 to add extra 3 years, to make it total 5.5years.

  • Thanks OP, got the 55" TV (was after 49" but doesn't seem to be available in Oz? The manual did mention about 49" though).

Anyway, I bought this air mouse a while back:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/379321

Then tried to pair it with TV but didn't work. I assume it would since it's android… has anyone tried this?
