Permanent Free cPanel Website Hosting?

I have 3 domains that need budget no frills basic hosting, don't care about the quality enough to pay just want free and no ads. Anything like that available? Haven't looked for years.

  • Setup your own web server on a raspberry pi just make sure you have a static IP from your ISP.

    • Cheers but no static IP and not what I want.

haha was hoping this wasn't the case. I remember about 8 years back I had a few with a host that allowed free hosting as long as you posted in their forums every now and then…. Oh well guess I'm even too lazy for that these days :)

Wait just found one that claims no ads.
        https://www.000webhost.com/

        • Looks good I remember this one from years back would need to set up 3 accounts with different emails I guess because no add on domains but that would be ok, thanks for the heads up.

          • @figarow: They have been around for years but they also are plagued with many problems and issues and unfortunately having three separate accounts will probably quickly get you band there system has counter measures in place to stop you from doing exactly this.

I think there was someone who was offering for free hosting because he wanted to do it as a side hobby project, not sure if it was cPanel or VPS access or whatever……let me see if I can still find it, it was on the steam forums….

EDIT: Found it! Here you go, hope that guy helps ya out with your free hosting needs… Only mentions game servers, but you can ask for website hosting needs I guess….

    • Might not be what I need but thanks I'll check it out :)

  • You'll struggle to find a reliable free host.

For a measly $US5 a year this will meet all your requirements

I use them for about 10 domains.

    Free, no ads.

    Pick one.

Not "free", "no ads", "quality" pick two? There have been free hosting packages offered in the past on OzBargain, but I don't think any of them are still around today.

      • In the automotive industry, we have the same theory…

        Cheap, fast, good. Pick two.

  • I'd go for 000webhost for now, and then as soon as you can transfer over to a paid host. Look out for some really cheap annual deals. Namecheap for example had their premium shared hosting pack for around $7 on Cyber Monday.. $7 for a year, unlimited disk space, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited add on domains, it was a great deal for anyone having small websites for hobbies.

Ventra IP had a similar one last year for around a dollar. You'll just have to keep an eye out. They are hard to find, but they do come out every now and then.

  • I could host you for free. But up to you if you trust me or not. I pay for a vps to host many little projects. Offers there if you want.

  • You could try this: https://flaunt7.com/free.php

Personally I'd be staying away from the types of free web hosting companies you're looking for. It never ends well… If you need unrestricted cPanel based web hosting pay a few dollars and get something from the likes of Zuver.

Otherwise there is good free options available but it's going to depend on what type of website you want to run. figarow, you can elaborate some more I'll be happy to make some other recommendations.
