Just check on MSY notebook pdf, and found on the third page that they are running cash back on top of the Asus cash back. If you are Asus fans it is a good idea to buy now.

$1499 seems like the standard price at the moment. Every major retailer has it for the same price.
For the i7 8 gen? I don't think so. I have been searching on market for this price and only found MSY is selling that price.
You could be right. There are slight variations in other models selling for $1499. But you do still get the 8750H, 16G, 512GB.
Yea.. also Asus came with 144hz screen VS with others cheaper option.
144hz cannot be downplayed either. It's a huge difference in the gaming experience.

From that link the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52-79KE, RRP $2199, on sale at $1499 seems good value also

$950 cheaper than the ROG; both have same CPU, with the only obvious differences the ACER having smaller primary SSD (128gb v 256gb) and acer has a GTX1060 where ROG has GTX1070. 1060 about 20-25% slower than 1070 for games.
